00:00Okay, so for those who are watching and who are thinking to themselves, this notion that
00:05a deal is closer than ever, for them, that it feels like a real deja vu. We've heard
00:10this on countless occasions during the last 15 months. You're saying that something is
00:14new and that there is cause for some optimism at this stage.
00:19Yes, I think that's fair. And I think we're seeing both the current administration in
00:24the United States, Biden administration, and the incoming Trump administration working
00:28together, essentially putting pressure on Israel, Prime Minister Netanyahu specifically,
00:36to come to an agreement. He, of course, has political issues. He's concerned that the
00:40far right of his coalition may pull out. But he's also concerned that he wants to start
00:46on a good foot with incoming President Trump, who's made it clear that he wants to see an
00:51agreement before he takes office. So I think there are factors that are different than
00:55the past. Skepticism is still, I think, a fair thing to have. But I would hope that
01:02with all the pressure right now on Israel and Hamas, of course, to have a ceasefire,
01:09that we could get one before 20 January. So this week, in some time, we could see an agreement
01:16that could see over 30 hostages released and a substantial increase in humanitarian aid
01:22into Gaza, which is sorely needed.
