00:30issues affecting Goa tourism, one is the fact that we do not have technology in transport,
00:36so we want technology in transport, whether it is an app run by the old taxi drivers is
00:40also okay, but some technology should be there, second thing is waste management along roads
00:45and fields and the third issue that which we have highlighted is quality of roads in
00:50busy tourism hotspots and touts of course, touts is another thing which we will need
00:55sorted out, fourth one are the touts, Goa tourism board which is constituted one of
01:05a type in the country, constitutes of people equally from the industry and equally from
01:11the government, chaired by the honourable chief minister, issues related to tourism,
01:16taking very lot of their learnings from yesterday's stakeholders meeting, presenting it today,
01:22talking about making wedding and mice, promotion of weddings and mice in terms of prime minister's
01:28vision, in terms of getting more weddings and mice conventions to India and specially
01:32to Goa, to have more of ease of doing business for the people who are planning here, ensuring
01:36the local stakeholders gain out of it, lot of issues have been discussed in today including
01:40infrastructure planning and double engine sarcar support in terms of infrastructure,
01:45I think today's meeting will give a wider perspective to ensure that tourism is a department
01:49for me but it is an industry for the state, so we need to ensure that collective responsibility
01:55whoever is supposed to be there, illegal touts will come to police, waste management will
02:00control the garbage on the roads or the panchayats will control the garbage on the roads, you
02:04have dogs and cattle menace which is controlled by animal husbandry, so we are asking the
02:08bureaucracy, the chief secretary to coordinate and get one meeting aligned with a very clear
02:12cut plan which is time bound and ensure that issues which have been raised as concerns
02:17are addressed, at the same time we promote the thing looking at quality over quantity
02:23and I think whatever influences try to malign, the figures have been released yesterday which
02:28are very welcoming to ensure that Goa has always been a preferred premier destination,
02:33will continue to be that and the numbers have given which will plug the issues where the
02:37influences try to malign or miscommunicate or spreading of false information, I think
02:44this is the time for us to promote tourism along with your media friends to the new markets,
02:49emerging markets and ensure that we have a tourist who feels very hospitable at home
02:56and hospitable in Goa, we are coming with a particular thought process where single
03:04window, we need to ensure that now unlike earlier, one is the prime minister's initiative
03:10of taking weddings and MICE conferences, promoting them, you can't get a better destination
03:16than Goa, now unlike the earlier planning, now weddings and MICE conferences are decided
03:22in fortnightly, 15 days, so for which you need to be prepared, you can't keep people
03:28running for permissions, so you need to make it very easy, ask for them to come in, the
03:32end of the day they come, they occupy hotels, they spend on F&B, they spend on many things
03:37and for which we need to ensure that it is smooth for either the impenal agencies or
03:41Goan agencies or the hotels which have been doing, so CM has given a nice plan for ensuring
03:46that this type of things are made accommodative and we are able to promote, that is a single
03:51point and these issues are not new to you nor to me, we have already spoken about these
03:58issues to the chief minister, he is also aware about it, we will have to ensure that certain
04:02things in terms of touts is not only fining them but also when we arrest them or detain
04:07them, methodologies, I think we have discussed in the Goa tourism board today also on these
04:12issues, once these are sorted we will communicate to you.
04:18I think we have been yesterday, I think stakeholders yesterday's meeting, we have communicated
04:23everything, I wouldn't want to be repetitive, technology is a must and however they adopt
04:27it, technology has to be adopted, so aggregator wise you have Goa MICE, they have issues about
04:32Goa MICE, Goa Taxi is a platform which is readily available free of cost, in fact that
04:36revenue can be used by them, if not, if they want to get an app and they want to do it,
04:41everything is open, CM and we are of the opinion along with the transport minister and the
04:45government is there, that the world is going towards technology, you can't run away from
04:48it, you have to adopt to it and it is not only about the tourist, the app will also
04:53give a lot of locals to commute, whether it is a person working in an industry, whether
04:58it is car pulling, whether it is...
