00:00We said this last week, it felt like there was a change that celebrities who support
00:06or even if they don't publicly support Donald Trump, but they agree with some of his policies,
00:12they are now feeling more comfortable speaking out and talking about these things.
00:18We started with Sylvester Stallone, Mark Zuckerberg, Bezos, and Carrie Underwood is throwing her
00:28hat in the ring, too, because we broke a story this morning that she is going to be performing
00:35at the inauguration.
00:37This is a difference in kind from his last inauguration.
00:43For years, everyone has always said, well, the only celebrities who publicly align with
00:46Trump are Kid Rock and Scott Baio.
00:52That's not the case now.
00:53Look, I don't know what Carrie Underwood's politics are.
00:57She's kind of kept that separate from her career, unlike a lot of other celebrities.
01:04The fact that you don't know, and she's been around for so long.
01:06I also don't think it's fair to assume that she, that this means...
01:11We don't know what it means.
01:12Yeah.
01:13It doesn't mean anything other than it's a high profile gig, so it makes sense for her
01:18to take it.
01:19Yeah.
01:20And what's interesting, guys, is I actually just got a statement from Carrie Underwood.
01:23In the statement, she says that she's happy to answer the call, that she feels like that
01:28this is a time that we need to reunite the country.
01:30And as you mentioned, she really has not been political at all.
01:34Even when Trump was going through his campaign, she wasn't one of the celebrities who was
01:39speaking out for him.
01:40But now, of course, that he's president, she's getting in line.
01:43And I think it's interesting to remember, it was just days after he won the election
01:47that Sylvester Stallone came out and was patting him on the back at an event.
01:52And all these A-listers now are starting to cozy up to Trump.
01:55And let's be honest.
01:56I mean, Carrie Underwood is in a different class than Kid Rock, who performed in 2016.
02:01No shade to him.
02:02But we're just seeing a different caliber of star now coming out for Trump.
02:06Well, this is Sue Smith from South Carolina, and I just want to say that Carrie Underwood
02:11has always been apolitical.
02:13You never really knew which way she went, but I'm sure she's going to do a fabulous
02:17job singing.
02:18I love her voice.
