00:58our system
01:00is very vibrant, transparent, and we take timely action.
01:12Whatever cases are brought before the judiciary, the judicial system act independently and
01:23quickly.
01:25Similarly, the media, both the print and the electronic media, reports everything without
01:35any favor to anybody.
01:38Then comes the executive.
01:41Our government, and especially the police, are independent and take immediate action.
01:52More than that, we have got the Child Welfare Councils.
01:59And these councils, from the lower level to the primary school level, to the college level
02:06and other levels, are very active.
02:13And they immediately get in touch with the victims, and independently they get their
02:21opinion, their complaints, and then follow the action of the court, the law.
02:30So I think in many states, even though sometimes the number of POCSO cases coming there may
02:37be a little lesser or lower, there all the cases are not being reported.
02:44But in Kerala, most of the cases are being reported, and actions are being taken, and
02:52the people are literate.
02:54People are vigilant.
02:56So Kerala's situation is quite different from other parts of the country.
03:03As a result, every POCSO cases, every anti-social elements which are ignored in this, are being
03:12brought before the judiciary.
