00:00Manisha Basheer has been playing Taekwondo since the age of 8.
00:14When Manisha first took Taekwondo as a sport, Taekwondo is not only a passion for her, but she is also looking for her future in this sport.
00:25And she wants to represent her country in the Olympics.
00:29Manisha Basheer is a 24-year-old Taekwondo player from Srinagar.
00:32Manisha Basheer has shown great performance in many international and international competitions.
00:43On the international level, this female player has had the opportunity to represent her country three times.
00:49Manisha says, I was interested in another game when I was a child, but I had to choose martial arts on my mother's insistence.
00:56As I played, my interest in this game also increased and today Taekwondo has become my future.
01:04I didn't think I would play martial arts because I wanted to go to another game.
01:08But because I was a sober girl, my mother told me that I had to go to martial arts.
01:13So that whenever you go somewhere, you can talk about yourself, you can't sit quietly.
01:17Then I joined martial arts, I thought I would take it for a time pass.
01:21But while walking, when I saw the players in foreign countries, I also got interested, I have to go ahead.
01:27While playing, I don't even know when the future was made.
01:31Manisha has also completed her NIS from the Sports Authority.
01:35In this, she is the first female Taekwondo player in Kashmir who has also been certified NIS.
01:41After completing her graduation, this talented player has not only continued her strict practice in the supervision of her coach,
01:47but has also been teaching Taekwondo to children in Indore Stadium.
01:58So far, she has trained almost 200 girls in martial arts and has also given training to students in many schools.
02:09I have been coaching for the past 6 years, but I have been doing it in Bakshi Stadium for the past 4 years.
02:13Till now, the role there is made up of 2,000 children.
02:16The children who have come and gone, but 2,000 children have come there whom I have trained.
02:20In our Kashmir, it is that only children have to study.
02:23Playing is not as important as studying.
02:26But I have seen that in foreign countries, the more important the studies, the more important the game is.
02:30That's why I also request those parents, if you are telling your children to study,
02:34but their future can also be made in the game, whether it is in any field.
02:38Manisha is playing in February for the World Ranking Championship.
02:42She said that this championship is very important for me and I am working hard for it at the moment.
02:48So that I can show better performance and be successful in making my place in the Olympics.
02:55The one who has the highest world rank here, he is selected for the Olympic trials.
03:00Then he can also go for the Olympics.
03:02That's why I'm going there to participate in the month of February.
03:06I was the first girl to analyze.
03:08I thought that when I come back from there, I will get a job.
03:11But it didn't happen.
03:13The girls in Kashmir are not only moving towards the charity game,
03:17but are also showing their best performance in these games,
03:21making the country and the nation proud.
