00:00The bad weather is still raging in different parts of the country.

00:04The flood reached Negros Occidental while a rope and rice mill collapsed in Sorsogon City.

00:11This is Bernadette Reyes.

00:17These men pushed their motorcycles to cross a ditch in Bagong Bayan, Sultan Kudarat,

00:24which was flooded due to the heavy rain.

00:26The motorcycle was almost hit by the water.

00:33In the town of Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat,

00:36a culvert was damaged by the heavy rain in the first week of January.

00:42According to the residents, it was damaged by the heavy rain.

00:46Because they had no other way, they tried to fix it.

00:50But the culvert was still damaged.

00:52That's why there are 25 bags of cement that were used to fix it.

00:58In Sorsogon City, a barangay was isolated after a rope fell in the Kawayan River.

01:04Some residents are also trying to cross using mud,

01:08while others were already stuck in the backhoe.

01:11Because the bottom of the rope was already broken,

01:13the water went to a rice mill there.

01:16That's why it also fell.

01:18Their rice mill was also not able to fix it due to the heavy rain.

01:26was already diverted due to the temporary ditch that they made.

01:40The flood reached Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

01:43According to Negros Occidental PDRRMO,

01:46this is the only barangay in Luzon that was affected by the flood.

01:5115 families are in the evacuation center,

01:54while they are still monitoring the level of water in their area.

01:57More than 1,000 individuals, or more than 600 families,

02:01were affected by the flood in Luzon.

02:03All areas are subsided.

02:05Only the LGU is closely monitoring the water.

02:08I think one of the reasons why is that their creeks and rivers were flooded.

02:15In the island of Samar, 15 municipalities in Eastern Samar and Northern Samar were affected.

02:20According to the Office of Civil Defense Region 8,

02:23more than 1,000 families, or almost 5,000 individuals, were evacuated.

02:27No casualties were reported.

02:30In Talisay, Misamis Oriental,

02:32the road was flooded after the heavy rain.

02:36According to some residents,

02:37a small vehicle was stranded because it was not able to cross the road due to the flood.

02:42A delivery truck was stranded in the middle of the road.

03:00According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Misamis Oriental,

03:04the heavy rain in the eastern part of the province

03:08was early yesterday,

03:09so it resulted in a flash flood in four towns.

03:12No one was hurt.

03:14The flood also subsided after a few hours.

03:17According to localised thunderstorms,

03:19it rained in the affected areas.
