00:00The annoying thing about being a Cancer is that everyone just goes, oh, it's just emotional.
00:03You were very lovely and supportive to me.
00:05Thank you, Nicole. That could have been bad. It could have been much harder.
00:11This is a steamy little number and I loved it.
00:14Maybe because I can relate to the young man thing.
00:17Please, spill the tea on that.
00:19Elaborate.
00:20Probably shouldn't because my mum will probably watch this and no one needs to hear all these
00:24details. But I'm curious though, was there anything when you were doing this that you did
00:30find weird or uncomfortable to start off with? Because listen, when you like someone,
00:36we've all done the thing where you like, you smell their clothes and it reminds you of them.
00:39But I'd never have put like an item of clothes in my mouth, like a tie or something like that.
00:44So I'm just curious, did you find anything particularly weird or weird?
00:48I mean, the whole way in which it was presented to us by Helena Raine was
00:55that she wanted to make a film that was really sort of about a woman who was going through
01:04an existential crisis and the way in which her sexuality and her job and all the roles she plays.
01:13And I think that that was the thrust of the piece.
01:16It wasn't so much the sexuality of it.
01:18It feels like the sexuality or the sex is like a mechanism to display
01:24the consequence of a lack of liberation, right? Or lack of freedom, I don't know.
01:29Yeah. And it's a discovery. The film is meant to be fun, obviously,
01:33but it's meant to have weight to it as well.
01:37So that's why you guys are the actors, because I think I'd be too in my head. I'd be like,
01:41I can't do this.
01:42That is why you were doing it?
01:44Of course not.
01:46I'm curious, because your character, Harris, is so good at obviously reading Romy from the start,
01:53how good are you guys when you meet someone? Like, first off,
01:56are you good at reading them from the get go?
01:58Yeah, I have a pretty good intuition and an instinct in terms of where I want to be
02:04and the people I like. And this film, I mean, so many times I choose things based on that.
02:11So I want to be with people that I'm going to enjoy so that it's not...
02:18It has to be a place that you want to go and you want to be with these people.
02:23I've got better at it as I've got older, like knowing what people like.
02:26What judging people.
02:26Yeah, but I feel like he's so young and I'm like, wow, he's so good at that.
02:31What about you, Harris? Are you good at judging?
02:33I like to think I am, but people can often be deceptive, can't they? It's hard to know sometimes.
02:39I feel like you think you've got an idea of someone, but I don't think Samuel really knows.
02:43I think Samuel just kind of goes, he sees Romy as a pure person separate from all of the
02:53constructed things around her, maybe all of the power around her.
02:56And maybe that's what ignites the initial thing between us. But I don't know,
03:02we got along very quickly, which was easier for the film.
03:07That could have been bad, it could have been much harder, but it was easy, I found it.
03:14You were very lovely and supportive to me.
03:16You were very lovely and supportive to me.
03:18Thank you, Nicole.
03:19I just thought you'd like to know.
03:21It's so important, because it comes across when we're watching it.
03:25You can see that you guys were just like, it works.
03:28And it's so important. As an actor, you don't have an enormous amount of control.
03:33You're showing up and you're giving, you're the giver. And the director's the taker.
03:40I'm curious, how do you react when someone asks you what your star sign is?
03:44Because she does lying there, and he's like, not into it.
03:48Are you into it?
03:50Are you into it?
03:50You answer first.
03:53I'll take the info, and if I don't like it, I'll discard it.
03:56But I'll hold on to the parts that I like.
03:59I'd never choose a relationship based on star signs, put it that way.
04:03I've got friends that would not date someone.
04:05Really?
04:05Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:06Oh, wow.
04:06They're like, really?
04:07Golly.
04:08Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:09Okay.
04:09Which is not good, I don't think. I don't think it's good to rule out.
04:13What are you?
04:14What's your star sign?
04:15I'm a Cancer.
04:16But the annoying thing about being a Cancer is that everyone just goes, oh, she's emotional.
04:20It's like, well, there's probably more to it than that. Let's not just say, you know.
04:24I wish I knew.
04:25What are you?
04:26I'm Gemini, but on the cusp of Cancer.
04:28There you go.
04:28So I can kind of...
04:30Yeah, I wish I was one of those girls...
04:30Where do I feel like going?
04:32Who could sit here and be like, oh, I know exactly what that means, but I'm not.
04:34What are you?
04:35I'm an Aries.
04:36Yeah.
04:36So I'm fiery and stubborn, apparently.
04:38But that couldn't be the least...
04:39Wow, Aries.
04:40What I'm not.
04:42See?
04:43Exactly.
04:43Wow, yeah, that makes a lot of sense now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Two minutes and I'm here.
04:47Yeah.
04:48I have no idea.
04:48Explain to the younger man, maybe.
04:52Guys, so lovely to meet you. Good luck with the film.
04:55My pleasure.
04:56Thank you so much.
04:57Bye.
