00:00We present samples of the substandard and unsafe categories to the courts.
00:10In this process, the Industry Safety and Medicinal Intervention Commissioner, Mr. Iqbal Khan,
00:15and our other commissioners, as per their instructions,
00:18we present all the samples found unsafe and substandard to the courts.
00:24In the last year, in 2024, out of 15 cases,
00:29a penalty of Rs. 23 lakhs has been imposed by the ADM Court.
00:33The maximum fine for substandard quality is Rs. 5 lakhs,
00:42as per the FSH Act.
00:44And for misbranded quality, the FSH Act imposes a fine of Rs. 3 lakhs.
00:48In this case, if we look at the old cases,
00:56in which we have taken the sample of kothari milk,
00:58in which the sample of ghee was taken,
01:00the standard quality was found unsafe.
01:03So, let's assume that the ADM has imposed a fine of Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
01:08Similarly, in all the other samples taken,
01:13in which Rs. 2 lakhs, Rs. 1.5 lakhs, Rs. 50,000 were taken,
01:16various types of fines have been imposed.
01:20In this case, a fine of Rs. 23 lakhs has been imposed in the last quarter.
01:27If we talk about substandard quality,
01:30in ghee, there is a fatty acid profile.
01:33If it does not fit the standards of ghee,
01:36if it does not fit the fatty acid profile,
01:39then it is considered substandard.
01:41If we mix vegetable oil in ghee,
01:46then such a mixture is considered substandard,
01:49other than the iodine value,
01:52which is not within the limits of iodine.
01:57That is why it is considered substandard.
02:01In the case of paneer samples,
02:03low-fat paneer is being sold in the market.
02:06If the low-fat paneer does not have proper fat,
02:10then it is considered substandard.
02:12Similarly, in oil,
02:15if the value of oil is not properly set on the parameters,
02:20then it is considered substandard.
