00:26before competing in the AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup 2025 qualifiers.
00:32The PFF announced in the event that the Philippine Futsal Squad will be under their newly appointed Spanish head coach, Rafa Merino Rodriguez.
00:41I am very grateful for the trust that has been given to me. Thank you very much.
00:48The national team will consist of 14 players, including Filipino skippers Katarina Guilou and Isabella Flanigan.
00:56Being given this opportunity from PFF and the coaching staff, I'm truly honored and I'm lucky enough to play with these girls that sit in front of me right now.
01:06I can't wait for the tournament and the chance to represent the Philippines.
01:10Also, I want to try my best to be able to do something I love and have the opportunity.
01:16Although the tournament is non-bearing for the Philippines since they have qualified for the 2025 FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup as the host country,
01:26PFF President John Gutierrez still faces challenges for the team.
01:31We expect to win that group. We expect to qualify for the AFC Championship.
01:41The Philippines will compete against Kuwait on January 11, Uzbekistan on January 15, Turkmenistan on January 15, and Australia on January 19.
