00:38to last game of the regular season, exiting the game in the opening half with a concussion as of
00:43last check, remains in the concussion protocol. Today is a big day because it officially opens
00:50up the full practice week as they get ready for a Sunday contest. So the first big question,
00:56DRS, for the Birds and the Pack, what is the concern level for Jalen Hurts' concussion?
01:03Zero. When you understand how the concussion protocol actually works and the final stage
01:08to be cleared, Ben, which means it's just for you to practice. We weren't going to practice last
01:13week for Jalen Hurts at all because he was never going to play in that game. So then you see the
01:17weekend comes out on a Monday and the head coach, Nick Ceran, is saying, I can't update. He's still
01:21in concussion protocol. The final hurdle before you're able to talk to the quarterback and admit
01:25it is once he practices, which is going to take place today. Also, if you do read the tea leaves
01:30as coaches in the NFL, boy, they love to give other teams something to think about because if
01:34one thing happens, he asked Kelly Moore yesterday, also the offensive coordinator, how do you feel
01:38about preparing three quarterbacks? Yeah, it's fine. No big deal. Not one there. And then end
01:41the story at that point. And then Ian Book gets released later in the day, who is the Eagles'
01:45fourth quarterback, which on game day, Ben, you have three active quarterbacks with one that's
01:49going to be the emergency. If Book is gone, do the math. Jalen Hurts is going to be available
01:54for Sunday afternoon's game for the Philadelphia Eagles, which last week I got a little bit
01:57nervous until I understood what was actually taking place is you can't clear concussion
02:02protocol if you don't practice. The Eagles weren't going to let him practice last week and no
02:06practices yet this week. So therefore, he hasn't cleared it despite being in the building and
02:10getting his work done and being in meetings and all that good stuff at this point. So me worrying
02:14about Jalen Hurts playing this weekend, it's at a zero.
