01:00How are you excited for this season and you are leading the Lucknow team, the Durban Super

01:16Yeah, I'm very excited.
01:17I think last year we did really well in getting to the final, obviously disappointed not to
01:22go the whole way, but hopefully we can rectify our mistakes this year and go the full way
01:26and make the Durban Super Giants crowd really happy and give them something to cherish for
01:32a long time this season.
01:33I'm sure Indian players are a part of this, DK will come and play this season, many more
01:39Indian players we expect next year to come and play for this league?
01:45That will have to leave to them and the relative people, I'm not sure, but it's exciting to
01:49have someone like DK.
01:51He's won World Cups for India and he's done really well on the franchise scene in terms
01:55of the IPL and his number speaks for himself.
02:00It makes the competition that much more competitive having people like Ace Caliber involved and
02:04looking forward to the combats on the field.
02:06You are talking about the IPL, there is many talent from all leagues at IPL, do you think
02:12that South Africa League also helps to find young talent for the national team?
02:17Yeah very much so, I think IPL has done it for a number of years now and we've seen the
02:21talent and growth within the system and the depth in the system more especially and we've
02:25seen the growth from our domestic scenes and things like that with the opportunity
02:30that SA20 has given, the youngsters and the platform it's given so hopefully we grow to
02:34that stature one day.
02:35My final question, South Africa reached the WDC final for the first time, South Africa
02:36reached an IPC tournament final.
02:37What are you expecting for this year?
02:38Oh yeah, we're really excited, I think it's been a phenomenal last 18 months for South
02:51African cricket both with the women's and men's front, we've got two finals under the
02:56belt and a semi-final and the women have reached two finals so you know really exciting, hopefully
03:01we can go one better and raise the trophy in one of the more prestigious formats of
03:05the game.
03:06Yeah, I think we've played some really good consistent cricket in the test format and
03:10long may that continue.
03:11This is a new season for SA20, how much excited are you for this season?
03:21Very excited, I think it fits for a great season ahead, as I mentioned before there's
03:27a lot of excitement, a lot of energy, a lot of great plays that we're mixing, playing
03:32with and playing against so for me as a captain to be captaining our team who's got a lot
03:39of young guys, experienced guys so very excited about our squad and all the games are going
03:44to be competitive, I mean there's seriously good players in the various different teams
03:49but just very excited, can't wait to get going and get the buzz.
03:54DK is also part of your squad this time, how much excited are you to play with DK?
04:00Very excited, I've known him as I mentioned before 10, what's it 12-13 years ago we played
04:06together in the IPL and it's just great to be playing alongside him again, he's a great
04:11guy, great ambassador for the game and he's achieved so much in his career so wonderful
04:15to have someone like that in our set up, all the experience, the knowledge that he can
04:23share to a lot of the younger guys is invaluable so yeah really excited about it.
04:28IPL is an older league, do you think that IPL will help you in this league?
04:34Definitely, IPL helps you in many different leagues and obviously international cricket
04:38as well so I mean it's a highly competitive league, it's the most followed league in the
04:44world and just great to be a part of, everything on and off the field at the IPL prepares you
04:52for any other tournament or international cricket for sure.
