00:00Here's the PTV news for now.

00:03There were more jobs in November 2024.

00:09In the latest labor force survey of the Philippine Statistics Authority,

00:1351.2 million Filipinos had jobs or businesses in the past.

00:19This is higher than 1.08 million compared to the estimated 50.12 million in October 2024.

00:29The most added jobs are in transportation, storage, manufacturing, wholesale and retail,

00:35accommodations and other food services.

00:39We can see that there are subsectors in our industry

00:45where the number of employed persons is increasing.

00:49Usually, in the last quarter, the last three months,

00:53we saw an increase in accommodation services, restaurants and of course,

00:59the key inputs like food products.

01:03The Department of Social Welfare and Development called for volunteers

01:07to help in the production of family food packs

01:10that will be distributed to families affected by the volcano's eruption.

01:15According to the DASWD Region 7,

01:18additional volunteers are needed to re-pack family food packs in Mandawil, Cebu.

01:25Warehouses can be found in Wicker and Wine Compound, Biswiko Street, Upper Tinggub, Mandawil City.

01:32The DSWD's target is to produce more than 100,000 boxes of family food packs.

01:41The preparation of the leadership of the Church, Police and volunteers

01:47is now in full swing.

01:50Earlier this morning, Raja Volunteers, also known as PDRMO,

01:58cleaned up the main road of Quezon Boulevard, next to the Church.

02:03This is where the medical station of the mini-hospital with the DOH and Philippine Red Cross will be built.

02:11There are also ambulances and medics outside the Church.

02:15Metal scanners and X-ray machines have also been installed at Villalobos Street,

02:20the main entry point for devotees to enter the Church.

02:24According to the Manila Police District,

02:26more than 1,000 devotees attended the morning worship

02:32at the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno in Quiapo, Manila.

02:37Meanwhile, from today, gun bans in the city will be effective until January 11.
