02:24Okay, wonderful.
02:26Great.
02:27We all set?
02:28Okay.
02:31Well, firstly, thank you so much for coming down to the SCG.
02:34It's amazing to be back here so soon after an incredible boarder
02:38series with the women's Ashes starting on Sunday at North
02:43Sydney Oval.
02:44So I'm absolutely thrilled to welcome the England squad,
02:48captained by Heather Knight.
02:49And it's great here to have England players,
02:52Tammy Beaumont, Lauren Bell, as well as our very own Ash Gardner
02:56and Phoebe Litchfield.
02:59It's already been an absolutely phenomenal summer,
03:02record crowds for the men's test, for the WBBL, for the BBL.
03:07And this series is really going to keep the momentum going.
03:12The women's Ashes is one of the greatest rivalries in world
03:15cricket.
03:17Incredible history, wonderful caliber of players.
03:22And I checked this morning on the website,
03:25the Australia and England are ranked one and two in both T20
03:30cricket and ODI cricket.
03:32So following a magnificent series last year in the UK,
03:37this is going to be an absolutely,
03:39another incredible series.
03:42We're very proud of our investment in women's cricket.
03:45I think we've seen the level of professionalism increase
03:48significantly over recent years.
03:51And it's wonderful to see so many emerging stars such as Phoebe,
03:55who's with us here today.
03:57Coincidentally,
03:58it's 90 years since the first women's Ashes test match back in
04:0434, 35.
04:07It's been 25 series overall.
04:11Australia have won nine, England have won six,
04:14and there've been nine drawn series.
04:17In 2013, we introduced the multi-format series,
04:21which I think has added a really great new dimension.
04:25And it presents a really huge challenge for both sides in all
04:29formats of the game.
04:31We're absolutely thrilled to be playing in major stadiums here at
04:35the SCG, the Adelaide Oval, Marnica Oval,
04:40Delrive Oval in Tassie.
04:43And the series culminates in the first ever day night test at the
04:47MCG from 30th of January to the 2nd of February,
04:51which is going to be just an amazing celebration of cricket,
04:56of cricket's leadership in equality through sport.
