Sue and John Price's Christmas lights display in St Peter's Road, Burgess Hill raised nearly £650.00 for local the children's RDA group

00:00Hi, my name is Sue and along with my husband John we live in St Peter's Road, Burgess Hill
00:07and every year we decorate our house with fairy lights and Christmas lights
00:12to raise money for various charities and this year our charity was
00:17Court Meadow Group Riding for the Disabled.
00:20We're a voluntary group and we rely totally on donations from the public
00:27as we get no backing from anywhere and the money that we receive
00:31all goes towards hiring horses and equipment for children that are
00:36very unlikely under normal circumstances to be able to ride.
00:40If anybody visited the group which is run at Hostick Canes
00:45you would see the delight that the children get out of it
00:48and the confidence that actually grows week by week as the children ride
00:54and it just helps them all the way through with their development in speaking,
00:59deportment, everything. It's really a joy to see.
01:03And I'd like to thank everybody that came and visited our house this year
01:07and we raised a great sum of £631.28
01:11which will go completely towards the children to be able to ride again
01:15and hopefully we'll see everybody this coming Christmas, December 2025
01:21where we will be lit up again and raising money once more.
