00:00Hardy Nazari was last seen by his two friends descending the Hannells Spur trail between
00:07Cairn Coburn and Thredbo on Boxing Day afternoon.
00:11He separated from them to go take photos and the plan was to meet up with them at the Gee
00:16High campground.
00:17But when he failed to arrive, his friends began to search for him.
00:22Since then, there have been about 300 staff and volunteers involved in the search for
00:28the 23-year-old man from Melbourne, including some of his friends and family.
00:32We're pretty confident that he has covered a bit of ground.
00:36We are searching a lot of the waterways and so forth because it's very important if you're
00:40out in these conditions in this area that you have access to water.
00:44So we're focusing on that as well as where the items have been located.
00:48We're still hopeful.
00:50We're still detecting items of interest that belong to him and I think that's a real credit
00:55and shows how thorough the search has been that we're actually locating those very, very
00:59small items.
01:00On New Year's Eve, items believed to belong to Hardy, including rubbish and hiking poles,
01:04were found near Kosciuszko Creek.
01:07Police revealed today that on Sunday, so two days ago, those searching for him found more
01:12items believed to belong to Hardy, including the remnants of a campfire, a lighter and
01:18camera gear.
01:20Police say that they won't share the content of what is on that camera due to privacy for
01:24the family.
01:25But finding these items and believing that Mr Nazari has access to water is sparing hope
01:33in finding him.
01:34New South Wales Police Superintendent Andrew Spleat says they're not giving up.
01:38The search will continue tomorrow where it's been nearly two weeks since Hardy Nazari was
01:44last seen.
