00:10and that no other family has to suffer like she has had to suffer after the tragic murder of her son, a bottle shop worker who went to work that day and never came home.
00:21Whose life was taken away from him at the hands of an offender who was out on bail for serious violent offending.
00:28Today's Declan's law means that breach of bail condition will now be an offence for adult and youth offenders.
00:35It means serious violent offenders and repeat serious offenders will have a presumption against bail, putting them on the back foot.
00:43These laws meet the community's expectations around offenders being loose out on our streets.
00:49It's not good enough.
