00:00Have there been any communications between the incoming administration and your family about your husband's fate?
00:14Well, you know, I mean, everybody has an opinion about what should happen that day, and President Trump is the one that will make that.
00:20Many people believe in a blanket pardon. People's due processes were violated.
00:25I am more on the lines of people being commutated, and let's take a look at every single case.
00:30People were overcharged. They were persecuted for that day, and we need adjudication for that, and I believe that it will happen.
00:37But did the administration, the incoming administration, have any, have they had any contact with you about this up to this point?
00:45We have been given the indication that we need to be absolutely confident and secure in day one.
00:53So that's something that you got heard from the administration directly?
00:57Absolutely. You know, they did not exactly say what their plans are, but they wanted us to know to be confident, secure, and ready.
01:06If they're pardoned, do you think that that will be a unifying thing for the country, or are you concerned that maybe that actually stirs things up again?
01:15Well, no, I think it will be unifying, because I think if they look case by case, you'll see where Jan Sixers have been overly charged and persecuted for the day.
01:24And that is what, you know, we need real adjudication. We need real, a real investigation, and that's all we're asking. That's all we really want.
01:31What do you think about what Sean is saying?
01:35I think that Jackson is just, you know, regurgitating some of the same nonsense that makes people feel like that a red hat is scary, that a Trump flag is scary.
01:46Those things aren't. They're unifying, actually. And I know that when my husband gets out, we'll be able to heal as a family, as well as our country heals.
01:54Family has trauma. I don't think that the Reffitt family is the only one out there dealing, you know, with this type of political divide.
02:02And, you know, I think that we can all heal from it. We just have to listen to each other.
