00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. was elated with the decision of the United Arab Emirates, or UAE, to pardon over 200 Filipinos.
00:09The Philippine government expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nayan and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Muqtum for their concern and kind heart.
00:19The chief executive says the decision was announced during UAE's commemoration of its 53rd national day.
00:27My fellow countrymen,
00:29I am pleased to announce that on the occasion of the 53rd national day of the United Arab Emirates,
00:38220 Filipinos were pardoned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nayan.
00:49This decision, which included 143 Filipinos who were pardoned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nayan,
00:58proves the strength of our nation.
01:19Our fellow countrymen are continuing to process the documents for their immediate return.
01:26For their return, may they be safe on their journey home to their beloved land of Tinubuan.
