00:05PhilHealth's answer to their disease is now 50% more effective

00:09and even more effective in heavy procedures such as kidney transplant and angioplasty.

00:15This is Ivan Mayrina.

00:20The most common claim from PhilHealth is low-risk pneumonia.

00:23PhilHealth's answer was only up to 19,500 pesos back then.

00:27But since January 1, PhilHealth's answer is now up to 29,250 pesos.

00:33And that's just one of the thousands of case rates, including our diseases,

00:38in the middle of a new round of increasing the value that PhilHealth will answer.

00:42If you can remember, in February of 2024, we increased by 30%.

00:48And now, before the end of the year, we increased by another round.

00:53This time, it's 50% in around 9,000 packages starting January 1 admissions.

01:01More than 50% increased benefits in other more serious diseases,

01:05including kidney transplant and angioplasty for heart attacks.

01:09In our kidney transplantation package, which was previously 600,000,

01:15now it will reach 800 to 2 million benefits.

01:20In our angioplasty package, which is around 30,000 benefit pesos,

01:27now it will reach 530,000 pesos.

01:31This is a big thing for the millions of Filipinos who rely on PhilHealth for their medical needs.

01:36This is a life saver for Evelyn Valdez who has been relying on PhilHealth for her dialysis for two years.

01:42A new hope is a cheaper kidney transplant because her savings will go down and she just needs a donor.

01:49I hope I will be able to get a transplant. I will not lose hope and I will strengthen myself.

01:55Since this year, PhilHealth has been providing benefits for outpatients and those who have been admitted to the hospital,

02:00but they don't need to be confined.

02:02The patients who are being taken to the emergency room, they don't admit that they didn't receive any benefits before.

02:10But now, we came out already with an emergency care package that they don't need to be confined.
