00:00Indonesia, it's truly Asia
00:07Achieving what we consider to be a new approach
00:12in making Malaysia as a destination
00:17the main destination
00:20and this is the beginning of an initiative
00:27so that in 2026, Tuzi Thiong will truly record the growth of tourism to the whole country
00:35even for this year itself, in achieving ASEAN
00:40we make sure that our programs prepare countries
00:48all of them without exception
00:51to be a tourist destination this year
00:54especially in the future
00:56and I have asked all ministries to provide support
01:02so that Malaysia can improve tourism, investment, and economy
01:12so that there will be no left and right countries
01:19so it is with great pride and excitement
01:23that I officially launch the Visit Malaysia 2026 logo
01:30a symbol of a renewed commitment
01:33to becoming a premier global tourism destination
01:41we aim to welcome 35.6 million tourists by 2026
01:48ambitious but very pragmatic and realistic plan
01:52because if we do achieve this
01:55we'll be able to generate an expected revenue of 1.47 billion ringgit
02:02and certainly the benefit, the ramifications
02:07to the various sectors, not only tourism
02:10F&B and related industries
02:15will certainly benefit immensely from this success
02:20now beyond these headline figures
02:23our goal is clear
02:25to promote tourism that is sustainable to our environment and communities
02:34that acts as an engine of economic growth
02:38while providing meaningful and memorable experiences to our visitors
02:43this is not an ordinary destination
02:48but a unique destination
02:51environmentally friendly
02:53and with charming Malaysians
02:59multicultural, multiracial
03:02which is culturally divergent but rich
03:06and sustainable destination
03:09which is consistent with our theme
03:14this is of course aligned to the Madani framework
03:18the ethos of our national development
03:21by championing sustainability
03:24concurrently with attainment of a higher quality of life
03:29and harmony between development and nature
03:34I think this is recognized as something wanting, lacking
03:40in the whole crave and urge for success and development
03:45and have largely ignored the environment
03:49therefore in our attempt to promote Malaysia
03:52is to promote Malaysia as sustainable
03:55and harmonious in terms of multicultural legacy
04:00with strong cultural foundation
04:05very diverse and rich
04:08but our approach has been very inclusive
