Full Video: Sir, What if your work fails? || Acharya Prashant, at AIIMS Nagpur (2022)
Transcript
00:00You know, you fail because you set limits.
00:03You say, I'm going to invest only this much in this particular project.
00:08And having invested this much, if this project gives me what I desire, then I'll call it
00:12a success.
00:13Otherwise, I'll quit the project.
00:15That's what you call as failure.
00:16Why do you ever quit the project?
00:19Tell me.
00:20If the project is worthy enough, stay put.
00:22Don't leave.
00:23I've had so many setbacks, I could have quit maybe 100 times.
00:27You need that love.
00:29You need to have something worthwhile to do in life.
00:32And then thoughts of success and failure do not matter so much.
00:35Obviously, you want to succeed.
00:37But success then does not remain the central determinant.
00:42The central determinant is love.
00:44Irrespective of success, I will do this because I am choiceless.
00:49I have nothing else to do.
00:51Vedanta calls it Nirvikalpata.
00:53There's nothing else.
00:54No vikalp.
00:55Only this is there.
00:56No plan B.
00:58And when there is no plan B, then by hook or by crook, you made plan A succeed.
