Tens of thousands of pro-Europe protesters rallied outside Georgia’s parliament building in the capital Tbilisi on Tuesday for the 34th consecutive day. Anti-government protests erupted after the ruling Georgian Dream party announced a suspension in the country’s EU-bid a month ago.

00:09Marking the 34th consecutive day of demonstrations, citizens once again took to the streets to
00:14demand new parliamentary elections and the release of those detained during the ongoing
00:19protests.
00:21In a joint venture of celebration and activism, a long supra, a traditional Georgian feast,
00:27was arranged in Tbilisi's main avenue.
00:30Protesters gathered to celebrate together.
00:32For them, this is not just a celebration, but a statement of defiance and resistance.
00:38A number of protesters have also gathered outside Goldani Prison, where dozens of activists
00:43arrested during the protests are currently being held.
00:47On Rustavelli Avenue, in front of the New Year tree, protesters say their struggles
00:52are far from over.
00:54And as the calendar turns to 2025, they vow to continue their fight every day to keep
00:59dreams of EU membership alive.
