00:00Here was what was at stake. Cincy needed to win to keep their
00:04playoff hopes alive and an important victory to have the
00:08head to head tiebreak against a Denver team. Because if the
00:12Broncos won in Cincinnati, that was it for the AFC playoff
00:16picture. Denver would claim that last playoff spot, but it
00:20did not happen despite getting oh so close as Cincy prevails in
00:25overtime in a wild game, 30 to 24. The Bengals cover as a field
00:30goal favorite at home. A total that really had no business
00:34going over 50 and a hook did find its way over in the extra
00:38session. Donnie, two long touchdown passes from Bonance to
00:42Marvin Mims in the final eight and a half minutes of
00:45regulation that sent the game to OT. Then in overtime, both
00:50teams got the football, punted it back. The Bengals had it
00:53third. They drive the length of the field. They set up what
00:56should be a chip shot field goal for Katie York, Katie
01:00York, excuse me, from 33 yards out. That's the length of a P.
01:04A. T. Clanked it off the left upright. So the Broncos have a
01:08chance even with a tie. Denver gets that playoff spot in the
01:13AFC. They were unable to hold onto the football and then Joe
01:17Burrows said enough of this. Carrying the Bengals on his back
01:20as he has done all season long. Three-yard touchdown pass to T.
01:25Higgins to end it out at another historic and spectacular
01:28game for Joey B. The Bengals keep their playoff hopes alive
01:33with a 30-24 win in overtime. I don't think they're going to get
01:37to the playoffs here. It's amazing that the Bengals even
01:39got this far with a chance to get into it, but that is a
01:42microcosm of the Bengals season. 8-8, so talented on offense.
01:45And he said they just couldn't put it together by getting a few
01:48stops in the regular season from their defense. But also
01:51understand this. Chase Brown's got an injury. Doc's going to
01:54come on. We'll talk about it a little bit later to see if
01:56that's going to affect him in Week 18 and maybe to make the
01:58playoffs beyond that. But Joe Burrows has been nothing short
02:00of spectacular. He should actually be the MVP of football,
02:04but it's hard to give it to an MVP at quarterback at 8-8, even
02:06if it's not his fault. He doesn't play quarterback,
02:08linebacker, or defensive end because 49 passes for 4-12,
02:12three touchdown passes, no interceptions, pass rating of
02:15122, QBR of 91. But here's the problem that I have. In today's
02:20day and age, right? You have Joe Burrow, who could probably do
02:23what Josh Allen is doing. Like, hey, you know what? Strip away
02:25my top wide receiver. I can still make things happen because
02:28I'm that talented. But understand this. Like T. Higgins
02:30was told at the beginning of the year, accept this franchise tag.
02:33If you don't, sit out the season. Who cares? We'll tag
02:36you again. We're never going to sign you long term. It's just
02:38the way we do business. T. Higgins goes for 11 for 131 and
02:42three touchdowns, and you're going to allow him just to walk
02:44away for a compensation pick in the offseason. Don't buy
02:47anything. Hey, my agent is Jamar Chase's agent. Now Joe Burrow
02:51is sticking up for him. They didn't pay him because you know
02:53if they pay T. Higgins, you know what they're going to tell Jamar
02:54Chase? We can't pay you this year, so you're going to have to
02:57wait for another two years and we'll franchise tag you, and
02:59it's going to blow that team up. You should have signed all
03:01three of those guys and say, you know what? Now in the
03:03offseason this year, when we saved money by signing you guys
03:06over the past two years, we can afford more defensive help and
03:09we can be a terror in the AFC North for the next decade here
03:12with this wide receiving core and with this quarterback here
03:15and it's all for not at this point and it's the ownership
03:18stealing good win by the Bengals extended their season. They're
03:21probably going to get beat. Why? Because the Broncos had the game
03:23against a team that doesn't need it in week 18. That's the game
03:26of it. I would love for the Bengals to get in because why I
03:28love watching that offense, Ben, I do and I'm going to watch it
03:31for one more week and off to the offseason they go.
