00:00It's my man, we go way back, but he hasn't told y'all that, we'll talk about that later.
00:03We go way back. Way back.
00:04But check this out. When was that by the way?
00:06Welcome to WatchMojo.
00:08And today, we're counting down our picks for the celeb interviews that,
00:12due to events that have occurred since their initial airing,
00:15have become more than a little hard to watch.
00:17They really do have chains on their wrist and they can't get out.
00:22And they're ending up buried.
00:23Robert, we have to have a conversation.
00:25I don't want you just ranting at the camera.
00:2828. Jonathan Majors
00:32You brought your own mug out.
00:34We have this mug for you and you brought your own.
00:36It's a very interesting mug, I gotta say.
00:39I like it.
00:40But I'm not the first person to wonder about this.
00:43Here's a little article in GQ magazine.
00:45Why is Jonathan Majors always carrying around a little cup?
00:48Once considered one of Hollywood's most promising up-and-coming actors,
00:52Majors was found guilty of assault and harassment in December 2023.
00:57Originally set up to portray Kang the Conqueror,
01:00the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new super baddie,
01:03the actor was barred from any future MCU participation in light of his conviction.
01:07She was very clear.
01:09I'm almost a pastor and she was very clear about safety.
01:12You know, she would say, no drinking, no drugs, no sex.
01:14Every time I left the house, no drinking, no drugs, no sex.
01:16To get on the plane, to go to college,
01:19I had to say no drinking, no drugs, no sex before I went through security.
01:22This has happened my entire life.
01:24As such, this February 2023 Stephen Colbert interview,
01:28released just weeks before his initial arrest,
01:31now plays out as though it's from an alternate universe.
01:34When prompted by Colbert to explain his well-documented trait of carrying around his own mug,
01:39it's chilling to watch Majors comment on his then-rising star profile,
01:43knowing that it would shortly be ripped away.
01:46What is that? What does that mean?
01:47Now it means...
01:48Mind your cup.
01:49Mind your cup.
01:50You're a vessel.
01:51Nobody can fill you up.
01:53Nobody can pour you out.
01:54You do that yourself.
01:56And so holding on to this is a reminder that, you know,
01:58even in this craziness that's happening, you know,
02:01my self-esteem is my self-esteem.
02:03You know, nobody can make me...
02:05No one can big me up, as it were, or tear me down.
02:07Number 27.
02:09Tom Cruise.
02:10What has happened to you?
02:12That's how I feel about it.
02:26Really?
02:28Really.
02:29Something happened to you?
02:31This May 23rd, 2005 interview has since become the stuff of pop culture legend.
02:36Much has been made of the Oscar nominee's wildly animated appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
02:41However, it's hard to deny its cringiness, even to this day.
02:45Cruise had only begun dating Katie Holmes about a month before the infamous Oprah appearance,
02:49which makes his behavior on the show even more confounding.
02:52We've never seen you behave this way before.
02:54I know.
02:55Have you ever felt this way before?
03:08You are gone.
03:10It's tempting to chalk Cruise's outbursts up to being in the honeymoon phase,
03:14which clearly did not last.
03:15Cruise's Oprah interview takes on an uncomfortable new light
03:18once you consider the alleged details of his and Holmes' ugly divorce.
03:23I am.
03:23Okay.
03:24This is something I have to discuss with her personally, but you know.
03:27Number 26.
03:29Donald Trump.
03:30Can I mess your hair up?
03:36I'll be gentle.
03:38Who knew that this seemingly innocuous interview would haunt Tonight Show host
03:42Jimmy Fallon personally and professionally for years after?
03:46Although it may seem hard to believe now, in the aftermath of his two presidencies,
03:51President Trump's candidacy was hardly taken seriously, at least initially.
03:55A September 15, 2016 appearance on The Tonight Show found Fallon in hot water
04:00for supposedly humanizing then-candidate Trump by asking to tousle his infamous head of hair.
04:05The answer is yes, but the people in New Hampshire,
04:07where I'm going to be in about an hour from now, I hope they're going to understand.
04:11You say yes?
04:12Go ahead, with my hair still.
04:19Trump, who even then had been harshly criticized for offensive remarks about women,
04:24minorities, and more, later denounced Fallon's backtracking.
04:27Watching the Trump-Fallon interview now
04:30serves as a stark reminder that the president should have been taken seriously even then.
04:3625. Joe Namath
04:55Woof, Broadway Joe, what happened here?
04:58The widely-revered NFL and Super Bowl champion has long been considered
05:02one of the greatest football players of all time, but his antics off the field
05:07have warranted nearly as much attention as his actual playing.
05:11Namath has been open about his struggles with substance use disorder, alcohol in particular.
05:16What does it mean to you now when the team is struggling?
05:20I want to kiss you.
05:22I couldn't care less about the team struggling.
05:25His personal difficulties reached a nadir on December 20, 2003,
05:29when a sideline interview with reporter Susie Kolber culminated in Namath repeatedly
05:34telling the journalist that he wanted to kiss her.
05:36While Namath quickly apologized, watching this clip in the post-MeToo era is a tall order.
05:42I want to kiss you.
05:43Thanks, Joe.
05:44Yeah!
05:44I'll give you guys a huge compliment.
05:46Joe Namath, part of the four-decade team.
05:50I'm very disappointed with my behavior.
05:5224. Sofia Vergara
05:55Finally, an attractive guest.
05:57I'm sorry, I never screamed like that in real life, you know, it was all acting.
06:04Only in the bedroom.
06:07Well, you would never know, but let me ask you.
06:11Let me congratulate you.
06:13Do you know Gordon, by the way?
06:14Yes, I mean, I know who he is.
06:16This interview barely even had a chance to get started before both Tonight Show host
06:20Jay Leno and his other guest, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, took it to an uncomfortable place.
06:25You can't help but feel bad for Emmy nominee Vergara,
06:28who was immediately the subject of, let's just say, unwanted attention.
06:32He said, if Modern Family wins the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy,
06:35Sofia Vergara will run naked down Sunset Boulevard.
06:38Wow, wow, wow.
06:40There was an asterisk.
06:41It said, cast members may change without notice.
06:46You know what?
06:47That's ridiculous.
06:48I mean, I cannot run.
06:50I have bad knees.
06:52No, no, he's okay.
06:53Both men cracked several lewd, off-color jokes about the Modern Family star,
06:57making inappropriate comments about her body and physical appearance.
07:01To her credit, Vergara handles it like a professional, and never once appears poised
07:05to break.
07:06While Leno and Ramsay's remarks were written off as jokes at the time,
07:09it's clear that they've since aged like milk.
07:12Well, I hope you do it, not some other cast member.
07:15Ed is ready to do it, too.
07:17Ed, yeah.
07:17Ed O'Neill, yeah.
07:18He told me, Sofia, in case something happens, I'm ready.
07:21Yeah, well, he can run as fast as he wants, as far as I'm concerned.
07:25Number 23.
07:26Red Hot Chili Peppers.
07:28I'm sorry about that, Cleo.
07:29Uh, I had to, uh, is it, what is it, is it good?
07:32Is it pretty, pretty, pretty?
07:33If you're at all familiar with these legendary L.A.
07:36funk rock provocateurs, you may not be terribly surprised to hear that they're
07:40not exactly known for their good behavior.
07:42Although they've earned their reputation as hardcore partiers, it's hard to ignore
07:46that they went several steps too far during their appearance on this beloved
07:50British chat show.
07:51Following a bizarre acapella performance, the members of the band began to
07:55antagonize host Whale's other guests for that evening, comedian Cleo Rokos.
08:00These are the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
08:02You're probably going to see a lot more of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
08:04Whale cuts the segment when singer Anthony Kiedis appears to kiss Rokos's
08:08body without consent.
08:10The accusations of assault and misconduct against the band that have cropped up
08:14in the years since make this appearance even harder to stomach.
08:17Excuse me.
08:19I'm engaged to this woman.
08:20Number 22, R. Kelly.
08:23I am surprised that you agreed to do it.
08:25Why are you sitting down with us today?
08:27I'm very tired of all of the lies.
08:30I've been hearing things and, you know, and seeing things on the blogs.
08:34And, you know, I'm just, I'm just tired.
08:37What are the lies that you're hearing that disturb you most?
08:39Oh, my God.
08:42All of them.
08:44Where do we even start with this one?
08:46Disgraced R&B singer Kelly, as you probably already know by now,
08:50was convicted in 2019 on federal racketeering and trafficking charges involving minors.
08:56A few months ahead of his conviction and sentencing, the quote-unquote Pied Piper
09:00himself appeared on CBS This Morning for an interview with host Gayle King
09:04in an effort to set the record straight.
09:06It's so hard to believe that based on all that we've read and what the women have said about you.
09:13What women said about me, what women.
09:16So nobody's allowed to be mad at me and be scorned and allow me.
09:20So they're lying on you.
09:21That's your explanation.
09:22They're lying on you.
09:23Absolutely.
09:24It goes without saying that the interview was an unmitigated train wreck.
09:28Kelly became visibly aggravated and did little to help his case.
09:32Given the sheer volume and credibility of the allegations against Kelly that have
09:36continued since then, it's difficult to watch Kelly describe all of his accusers as liars.
09:41I didn't do this stuff.
09:43This is not me.
09:45I'm fighting for my life.
09:48Y'all killing me with this.
09:50I gave you 30 years of my career.
09:54Robert.
09:5430 years of my career and y'all trying to kill me.
10:00You're killing me, man.
10:02Number 21, Sean P. Diddy Combs.
10:11Holla.
10:13What's up, New York?
10:14How y'all doing?
10:19P. Diddy, all you've done is wake up the people that fell asleep in front of the set.
10:23Much like R. Kelly, Sean Combs' alleged misconduct was a massively focused upon
10:28news story over the course of 2024.
10:32The rapper and mogul who's gone by the stage names Puff Daddy and P. Diddy
10:36was federally charged with trafficking and racketeering in September 2024.
10:40You're legendary for the parties that you throw.
10:42You throw a great party.
10:44I'm a legend, baby, for a whole bunch of things.
10:46Yes.
10:53You got a live show.
10:54You got a live show now.
10:56Combs was dealt yet another fatal blow on October 1st of that year,
11:00when the Washington Post reported that he would face as many as 120 further lawsuits.
11:06Knowing that makes his 2002 Late Night with Conan O'Brien appearance an endurance test,
11:11particularly the moment when Combs tells O'Brien about the importance of locking
11:16your doors during a party.
11:18I don't know if guys have noticed this, like a lot of ladies drink water at parties.
11:22They just, you know, so you have, if you don't have what they need, they're gonna leave.
11:24Right.
11:25Gotta keep them there.
11:26Right.
11:26Need locks on the doors.
11:30Okay, this is sounding kind of dangerous now.
11:32Number 20, Justin Roiland.
11:34You might not be familiar with his name, but you definitely recognize his voice.
11:39Justin Roiland rose to prominence as the co-creator and voice behind the main characters
11:44of the hit animated sitcom Rick and Morty.
11:47Oh, Morty.
11:49Oh, Morty.
11:50Help me, Morty.
11:51Help me, Rick.
11:53In 2023, however, Roiland was fired from the show following accusations of sexual misconduct
11:59and predatory behavior towards minors.
12:02As the scandal unfolded, a 2011 episode of his podcast, The Grandma's Virginity Podcast
12:07resurfaced, in which Roiland made troubling remarks about being attracted to minors.
12:12Look, I don't break the law.
12:14I would never break the law.
12:15Many perceived these comments as confirmation of the allegations against him.
12:19While he was initially cleared of criminal charges, Roiland faced a barrage of new sexual
12:24assault allegations later that year, all of which he vehemently denied.
12:29Number 19, Chris D'Elia.
12:32In 2020, comedian and actor Chris D'Elia was accused of sexual harassment and predatory
12:37behavior.
12:38It was alleged that he had solicited explicit pictures from his accusers, sometimes via
12:43Snapchat.
12:44After the allegations became public, an old clip from D'Elia's appearance on the podcast
12:48The Fighter and The Kid resurfaced.
12:50In it, the discussion centered around a high school teacher who was caught sending inappropriate
12:55photos of herself to her student on Snapchat.
12:58She sent it through Snapchat.
13:00Why does she have her student's Snapchat?
13:01Yeah, well, that's weird.
13:02Yeah.
13:03This initially puzzles D'Elia, as he was of the impression that such images disappeared.
13:07But his confusion quickly morphs into astonishment when he learns that content on Snapchat can
13:12actually be saved.
13:13If Snapchat goes away, right, how they...
13:15He probably saved it.
13:16You can screen record, take screenshots.
13:18Wow.
13:19For some, it appeared the comedian realized the potential consequences for his own alleged
13:24actions.
13:25Number 18, Courtney Love.
13:28In 2017, Hollywood was rocked by numerous sexual assault allegations against movie producer
13:33Harvey Weinstein.
13:35While these claims stunned the world, they seemed to already be common knowledge within
13:39the entertainment industry.
13:40This was evident in a 2005 red carpet interview with Courtney Love at the Comedy Central roast
13:45of Pamela Anderson.
13:47When asked what advice she had for aspiring actresses in Hollywood, Love warned them to
13:52steer clear of Harvey Weinstein.
13:54Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party and enforces his death penalty.
13:58Following the resurgence of this video, Love disclosed on Twitter that she was essentially
14:02blacklisted by the talent firm Creative Artists Agency for speaking out against Weinstein.
14:08It may have taken years, but her warnings were eventually vindicated.
14:12Please don't sentence me to life in prison, he told the court.
14:16Number 17, Melissa Benoist.
14:18Supergirl star Melissa Benoist appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in
14:232016, where she shared a story about a home accident.
14:27She recounted how she tripped down a flight of stairs and injured her eye by crashing
14:31into a potted plant.
14:38Despite the lighthearted delivery, it later emerged that the entire incident was fabricated.
14:43In 2019, Benoist bravely disclosed her experience as a survivor of domestic violence by an unnamed
14:50former partner.
14:51She then described a particular incident that was remarkably similar to the staircase mishap.
14:56Admitting that she had made up the story to evade suspicion.
14:59We made up a flimsy story together.
15:01I had tripped and fallen on the stairs of our deck and hit my face on a potted plant.
15:06Revisiting the interview, it's distressing to think of the pain she was concealing behind
15:10her smile.
15:11And I hope that telling my story might help prevent more stories like mine from happening.
15:16Number 16, Corey Feldman.
15:18Former child actor Corey Feldman has consistently claimed that he and his fellow star Corey
15:23Haim experienced harassment from top Hollywood figures early in their careers.
15:28In 2013, Feldman revisited the issue during an interview on The View, where he cautioned
15:33parents about the potential dangers of putting their kids in show business.
15:37And they do not want me saying what I'm saying right now.
15:40Co-host Barbara Walters promptly rebuked Feldman for his comments, accusing him of harming
15:45the reputation of the industry.
15:47You're damaging an entire industry.
15:49Although the interview soon faded from public consciousness, it re-emerged in 2017 amid
15:55the Me Too movement, which shed light on widespread sexual misconduct in Hollywood.
16:00Walters was heavily criticized for what appeared to be her disregard for the risks faced by
16:05child actors in the industry.
16:07Number 15, Vin Diesel.
16:09In December 2023, action star Vin Diesel was sued by his former assistant, Asta Joneson,
16:16who accused him of sexual battery and retaliation.
16:19Joneson alleged that Diesel sexually assaulted her while filming Fast Five, and then fired
16:24her, claiming she was, quote, no longer useful.
16:27These accusations brought renewed attention to a little-known interview the actor had
16:31done in 2016.
16:33Diesel was promoting his film XXX Return of Xander Cage and spoke with Brazilian YouTuber
16:38Carol Morera.
16:40God, you're so beautiful.
16:42My gosh, you're so beautiful, man.
16:44During the interview, he quickly became enamored with Morera, hitting on her relentlessly in
16:49preventing her from doing her job.
16:51Look how beautiful she is.
16:52You guys think it's a joke.
16:53How am I supposed to sit over here when I'm looking at such beauty?
16:57Morera later admitted that she was, quote, completely uncomfortable with the actor's
17:01advances, which is pretty obvious just from watching the clip.
17:05Guys, what's wrong?
17:07Am I the only one that's saying it?
17:08Look at her.
17:09Number 14, Louis C.K.
17:11The comedian Louis C.K. was one of several industry heavyweights who was accused of sexual
17:16misconduct in late 2017.
17:18Five women came forward claiming that he'd exposed himself to them.
17:22C.K. later admitted to the allegations and issued an apology, stating that he had, quote,
17:27wielded his power irresponsibly.
17:29I want to address the stories told to the New York Times by five women.
17:32These stories are true.
17:34This revelation prompted scrutiny of C.K.'s previous stand-up material and interviews,
17:39some of which share troubling connections to the real-life allegations.
17:43In particular, it cast a disturbing light on a 2012 interview the comedian granted to
17:48Vanity Fair.
17:49When asked about what trait he most implores about himself, C.K. responded with an unsettling
17:55reference to his genitals.
17:57Number 13, Geena Davis and Bill Murray
18:00In 1990, Geena Davis and Bill Murray co-starred in the crime comedy film Quick Change, which
18:06Murray also co-directed.
18:08The film drew attention in 2022 when Davis accused Murray of sexually assaulting her
18:13during her audition.
18:14I said no multiple times, but he wouldn't relent.
18:17Those claims were seemingly confirmed by the actor, not in 2022, but back when the two
18:22appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show to promote the film.
18:25Throughout the interview, Murray repeatedly strokes Davis' arm and at one point even pulls
18:31down the strap of her dress, much to Davis' discomfort.
18:34He touched you a lot in the audition?
18:36Yeah.
18:37The actress recounted the claims during the interview, albeit in a more humorous manner.
18:41But in light of her 2022 allegations, there's no way to look at that clip without feeling
18:46creeped out.
18:47She's really a very nice person.
18:50And get a load of the dress.
18:53Number 12, Jimmy Savile
18:55While still alive, Jimmy Savile was a widely beloved English media personality, having
19:00hosted the BBC's Top of the Pop show for years.
19:03However, it wasn't until after his death that his true nature came to light.
19:07An ITV documentary revealed that Savile was a serial sexual predator, with victims potentially
19:13numbering in the hundreds.
19:15Savile was able to disguise behind his playful character, but he seemingly dropped clues
19:19about his reprehensible actions.
19:21You also used to be a wrestler, is that right?
19:24Still am.
19:25Still am?
19:25I'm fit in every girls' school in Britain.
19:28In this 1999 appearance on the BBC show Have I Got News For You, Savile alluded to his
19:33predatory behavior by phrasing it as a joke.
19:36You used to be a wrestler, didn't you?
19:39I still am.
19:42I'm fit in every girls' school in this country.
19:46Although some of the allegations against him emerged while he was still alive, Savile
19:50managed to deflect them using similar tactics.
19:52What do you do in the caravan?
19:54Anybody I can let my arms on.
19:58Number 11, R. Kelly
20:00To be fair, this interview was disturbing even back when it was made.
20:04In 2008, R. Kelly sat down with BET reporter Turay.
20:09Earlier that year, the singer had been acquitted in a trial centered around his possession
20:13of highly inappropriate material.
20:16Well, those people, those people that don't know Robert, they don't know me.
20:19Turay bluntly asked Kelly if he was attracted to minors.
20:22Instead of a flat-out negative response, Kelly asked for further clarification, which was
20:27just as bad as answering in the affirmative.
20:30When you say teenage, how are we talking?
20:33Even with such an inappropriate response, the interview had no significant consequences
20:37on his career.
20:38It would take a little over a decade with the release of the 2019 docuseries Surviving
20:43R. Kelly for this interview to take on an even more troubling layer.
20:47I know a lot of people will be out to get me because I'm very vulnerable, man.
20:51Number 10, David Letterman
20:53The 2021 documentary Framing Britney Spears sparked online discussions about the media's
20:59treatment of female celebrities.
21:01Amid that backdrop, former Late Show host David Letterman came under fire for some of
21:06his past interviews.
21:07Arguably the most disturbing occurred in 1998, when he interviewed actress Jennifer Aniston,
21:12who's promoting her film Object of My Affection.
21:15It's not as bad as I think people assume it is, but you know, there's always those
21:19odd, those odd encounters.
21:21During their conversation, Letterman suddenly approached a visibly uncomfortable Aniston
21:26and sucked on a strand of her hair.
21:28What are you doing?
21:32What are you doing?
21:35He then handed her a tissue to wipe the saliva off.
21:38The veteran host was also taken to task for a 2013 interview with Lindsay Lohan, where
21:43he ambushed her with several inappropriate questions, leaving her to tear up at one point.
21:48You can't make a joke of it.
21:49I just want to, I just, I don't, I'm not joking.
21:52You're not doing that.
21:52We're not doing that.
21:53Number 9, Jussie Smollett
21:56On January 29, 2019, Empire actor Jussie Smollett reported that he had been the victim of an
22:03alleged hate crime in Chicago.
22:05Smollett claimed that two men had attacked him in the early hours of the morning while
22:08yelling racial and homophobic slurs at him.
22:11Dozen detectives are pursuing new leads, including grainy photos of two persons of interest.
22:17When authorities launched an investigation into the alleged attack, several inconsistencies
22:22in Smollett's story began to emerge.
22:24On February 14, the actor discussed the incident in an interview with ABC's Robin Roberts,
22:30expressing that he was, quote, pissed off at those who doubted his story.
22:34How can you doubt that?
22:35Like, how do you, how do you not believe that?
22:37It's the truth.
22:38However, less than a week later, it was revealed that Smollett had indeed staged the attack,
22:43leading to his criminal indictment for filing a false police report.
22:47Now, a grand jury on Tuesday indicted Smollett on six counts of disorderly conduct.
22:52Number 8.
22:53Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
22:55Back in 2004, celebrity twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were still teenagers when they
23:01appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
23:03During the interview, Winfrey brought up reports that Mary-Kate had been dealing with an eating
23:07disorder.
23:08Ashley immediately came to her defense, stating that they didn't care about what was discussed
23:13in the tabloids.
23:14I know there's a new rumor that's recently surfaced that has really upset you, right?
23:18You know, the one about eating.
23:20Yeah, you know, people are going to write what they want to write.
23:22However, Winfrey interrupted Ashley with an inappropriate question about their weight,
23:27leaving both sisters visibly surprised.
23:29What size are you, by the way?
23:32Size?
23:32Yeah, I would like to know.
23:33I'm not sure.
23:34You're not sure?
23:35Girls and, you know.
23:36Oh, that's so interesting.
23:40This was particularly disturbing given the fact that the twins were minors at the time,
23:44and Mary-Kate would seek treatment later that year for an eating disorder.
23:48When the interview resurfaced in 2021, Winfrey faced intense criticism for her handling of
23:53the situation.
23:54It's how horrified Mary-Kate and her sister Ashley were when they were asked that question,
23:59and then for Oprah to laugh about it.
24:01Number seven, Ashton Kutcher.
24:03In 2023, Hollywood couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis came under fire after writing
24:09letters of support for their former co-star Danny Masterson, who was convicted of sexual
24:15assault.
24:16Subsequently, one of Masterson's accusers shared a clip from a 2003 episode of Kutcher's
24:21show Punk'd, where he made a seemingly predatory comment about actress Hilary Duff.
24:26This remark made by Kutcher, who was 25 at the time, raised significant concerns about
24:31his behavior.
24:32That we're all waiting for to turn 18.
24:35The backlash on the actor further intensified after another clip from a 2002 interview on
24:40The Rosie O'Donnell Show resurfaced.
24:43In it, Kutcher gleefully admitted to participating in a bet with Masterson to French kiss Kunis
24:48on screen without her consent, even though she was still a minor.
24:53So I was like, okay.
24:54Then Danny goes and goes, dude, I'll give you $10 if you French kiss her.
24:57Number six, Ellen DeGeneres.
25:00Talk show hosts have always found creative ways to get the scoop on the lives of their
25:04celebrity guests.
25:05But Ellen DeGeneres seemed to have crossed a line in a 2008 interview with Mariah Carey
25:11that left the singer extremely uncomfortable.
25:13People are saying that you're pregnant.
25:17There's rumors.
25:17Don't discuss that.
25:19In a bid to confirm pregnancy rumors, DeGeneres offered Carey champagne and pressured her
25:24to drink it.
25:25Carey, who looked a bit uneasy, initially tried to fend her off, but eventually appeared
25:30to take a small sip.
25:32DeGeneres interpreted this as confirmation and proceeded to celebrate.
25:36However, in 2020, Carey disclosed that she wasn't ready to share the news at the time,
25:41due to a previous miscarriage.
25:43Tragically, she lost the pregnancy shortly after the controversial interview.
25:47But she says she didn't enjoy that moment.
25:50Number five, Matt Lauer.
25:53The Me Too movement led to the downfall of several industry heavyweights, including long-time
25:58Today host Matt Lauer.
26:00Lauer was fired by NBC in November of 2017 after allegations of, quote, inappropriate
26:06sexual behavior in the workplace came to light.
26:09Following his dismissal, a peculiar 2009 interview with actress Sandra Bullock resurfaced.
26:15Bullock was there to promote her film The Proposal, only to be bombarded with remarks
26:20about her nude scenes.
26:21The major thing that's changed since you were here last?
26:23Yes.
26:24I have now seen you naked.
26:25Lauer displayed an unsettling excitement at the thought of seeing the actress naked,
26:30even adding that the image had become his screensaver.
26:33You're naked for most of this movie.
26:34I assume.
26:37Many found this disturbing, especially in light of his sexual misconduct allegations.
26:41At the end of the interview, Lauer asks Bullock to return soon, an invitation she instantly
26:47declines.
26:48Sandra Bullock, come back more often.
26:50No, not after this interview.
26:52Number four, Ben Affleck.
26:55In the wake of the Me Too movement, many began to re-examine past behavior of celebrities
27:00that was once normalized.
27:02Enter actor and filmmaker Ben Affleck.
27:05In October of that year, actress Hilary Burton alleged that Affleck had groped her during
27:09a 2003 appearance on MTV's Total Request Live.
27:13Yeah, he pulled that move.
27:16Following this allegation, the actor issued a statement apologizing for his inappropriate
27:20behavior.
27:21Shortly after, another video resurfaced from a 2004 interview with Canadian journalist
27:26Anne-Marie Lozik.
27:28In it, Affleck tightly embraces Lozik and makes suggestive comments about her body.
27:33You know, you should work at Fox here in LA.
27:35You blend right in.
27:36They would love you.
27:37At first glance, it appears highly inappropriate and raises questions about Affleck's behavior
27:42towards women.
27:44According to Lozik, however, it was all an intentional act for the cameras to boost ratings.
27:49It was strictly for the cameras while the cameras were on.
27:52While they were off, he was actually very proper and we talked about many things.
27:56Number three, Britney Spears.
27:58In 2003, shortly after her high-profile split from Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears sat
28:04down with veteran TV presenter Diane Sawyer.
28:07During the interview, Sawyer asked Spears a slew of questions that would be uncomfortable
28:11for anyone to answer, let alone a 21-year-old.
28:14Is it an addiction?
28:16Is it an addiction?
28:18No, I don't think it's an addiction.
28:20I think it does put me, like, it makes me happy.
28:23Among other topics, she grilled her about the breakup with Timberlake and also seemingly
28:27defended a statement by then-First Lady of Maryland, who said she would shoot Spears
28:32if given the opportunity.
28:33Oh, that's horrible.
28:35That's really bad.
28:36Because of the example for kids and how hard it is to be a parent.
28:39Needless to say, the now-infamous interview felt more like an interrogation.
28:43At one point, the singer even broke down in tears.
28:46The clip ignited a wave of criticism directed at Sawyer after it was featured heavily in
28:51the 2021 documentary Framing Britney Spears.
28:55And yet he's left the impression that you weren't
29:00faithful, that you betrayed the relationship.
29:05I think everyone has a side to their story.
29:07Number two, Danny Masterson.
29:10Who knew late-night talk show host could predict the future?
29:13As earlier mentioned, Hollywood actor Danny Masterson made headlines in 2023 after he
29:19was convicted of sexually assaulting two women in the early 2000s.
29:23He received a prison sentence of 30 years to life for these crimes.
29:27Masterson's sentencing led to the discovery of an old clip from his 2004 appearance on
29:32Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
29:34When asked about his lack of a Long Island accent, the actor's response was an uncomfortable
29:38joke with a vulgar undertone.
29:40Like my friend, he always teases me and he says,
29:43Hi, my name is Danny Masterson.
29:44Would you like to touch my balls?
29:46Perhaps sarcastically, O'Brien quipped that Masterson's day of reckoning would soon come.
29:51It may have taken nearly two decades, but that statement ultimately came to fruition.
29:56Um, I've heard about you, uh, and you'll be caught soon.
29:59I know you will.
30:00I will.

30:17Number one, Bill Cosby.
30:19Disgraced actor and comedian Bill Cosby has faced dozens of sexual assault allegations
30:24throughout his career.
30:26Many of his accusers claim that Cosby drugged them before committing the despicable acts.
30:31These allegations may not come as a surprise, considering that in a 1991 interview on CNN's
30:37Larry King Live, Cosby seemingly alluded to spiking people's drinks.
30:42Speaking with King, the comedian made a joke about Spanish fly, a drug used as an aphrodisiac.
30:48We will still be searching for Spanish flies.
30:51Cosby talked about dropping the pill in a lady's drink as a means of having one's way
30:55with her.
30:56Even King joins in on the topic, concluding Cosby's lewd joke with,
31:01She's yours.
31:02We'd say it's a disturbing clip, but even that seems like an understatement.
31:06And the girl would drink it and she's, hello America.
31:10Which interview was the hardest for you to watch?
31:13Are there any we missed?
31:14Let us know in the comments.
31:16Was it all right?
31:17I mean, was it hard to do?
31:19No, it just happened.
