00:00The Bureau of Fire Protection, BFP, once again reminded people who are using and selling firecrackers to pay their fines.

00:18Six days before the new year, local government units and other government agencies are preparing for the safe welcoming of the new year.

00:29According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the number of incidents of fire and firecrackers is expected to remain low as the welcoming of the new year approaches.

00:39Under Executive Order No. 28 and Republic Act No. 7183, firecrackers are strictly prohibited from being used and sold,

00:48such as Y2C, Piccolo, Bawang, Five Star, Atomic Bomb, and other types of pyrotechnic devices.

00:56That is why the BFP emphasized the importance of fire safety education as fire prevention campaign.

01:02Fire trucks are moving around the city every day for the visibility and public address system to alert people.

01:10Quezon Memorial Circle is one of the main places in Metro Manila where people can watch and participate in the fireworks display.

01:18Based on the QC Ordinance, those who will be caught will be fined Php 1,000 to Php 5,000 and will be jailed for 3 to 1 year depending on the grievances.

01:29There are also fire displays at the New Year Countdown in Ayala Avenue in Makati and several main places in LGUs.

01:37The BFP continues to assist local governments in controlling the use of firecrackers.

01:45Firecrackers are strictly prohibited in residential areas.

01:49According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, it is better to attend music festivals in the localities.
