00:00Thank you so much again for joining us again this week.
00:06Yes, Merry Christmas to everyone and a happy early Hanukkah as well.
00:10We do have these series of storms that are still headed for California
00:14and it looks like just there won't be hardly any break or very short breaks
00:18in the northern third of California right on through the weekend.
00:21It's a very wet weather up there. The main stores are headed into the Pacific Northwest
00:27but the trailing edges of the storm will bring plenty of rain across northern California,
00:32maybe as much as four to eight inches over well through the through the Sunday let's call it,
00:37especially up toward the Oregon border. Amounts do diminish as you go southward through the weekend
00:44but still some wet weather down in the Bay Area and the Central Coast will get a little rain.
00:49Once again, Southern California will miss out on the rain again.
00:52No rain for Southern California into next week.
00:55Now I know we were talking about this a little earlier, Ken. Can you break down the wind threat
01:00and the rough waters there too?
01:04Yeah, we had some incredible seas yesterday across all of California. Unfortunately,
01:08we lost a few lives as well and the danger of very rough waters continue right on through
01:14the weekend. In fact, by Thursday through Sunday, another huge round of very large
01:21waves will come into California. 20 to 30 foot waves from Monterey on northward. South of Monterey,
01:28maybe 10 to 20 foot waves. Southern California, we're probably looking at another round of
01:336 to 12 foot waves. So again, very dangerous conditions along all the beaches of California
01:41and just stay away from the waters and definitely don't go into the waters.
01:46There's a high, high risk of rip currents as well.
01:49Yeah, just check out those harrowing scenes there. And you know, we're talking about a lot
01:53of rain. Ken, we mentioned earlier in the week that we've seen so much rain across northern
01:58California, not so much in Southern California. And I know you were talking earlier about the
02:05Rose Parade and any potential weather impacts.
02:09Yeah, it looks like the Rose Parade is going to be good for January 1st. We're looking right now
02:15at dry conditions. I know it's a week away, but it does look like the pattern is very conducive to
02:21continue dry weather in Southern California. So it looks like it's going to be rather mild
02:25for the Rose Parade and dry weather for it as well. And that's always good news because
02:30how many thousands and thousands of people line the streets of Pasadena for that parade?
02:36I know. I've always wanted to go definitely on my bucket list. Picture perfect weather there.
02:42AccuWeather California expert Ken Clark, thank you again for joining us on this Christmas morning.
02:49You're very welcome. Have a great day.
