01:03And now we're back in action, baby.

01:59Cameron recently appeared on her brother-in-law's podcast,
02:02Artist Friendly with Joel Madden,
02:03and spoke about the film and how Jamie's health
02:05scare back in April 2023 impacted the project.
02:09One of the things that I think we have to talk about

02:17Yeah, I mean, I totally would like to talk about it.

02:23Because it's going to be coming out.

02:26And you worked very hard on it.
02:28Well, it's been a long journey, it feels like.
02:31Well, it's been two years.
02:32Yeah, since you made it.
02:34Yeah, lots happened.
02:36But that's not the thing that's important about it.

02:40But is it weird when you make a movie
02:41and then you have to wait two years for it to come out?
02:43It's the first time it's ever happened.

02:45Does it usually come out like a year later?
02:47Or like, how does that work?
02:48Yeah, we just had unfortunate circumstances.
02:52We had to stop filming at the end.
02:54We got two weeks short because Jamie had a stroke, which
02:58was crazy.
02:59And thank God he's OK.
03:02And he'll have a special that comes out
03:05in the beginning of December.
03:06Like sharing the journey?
03:08Sharing the journey, which is really incredible.
03:11And then he miraculously recovered
03:16and is better than ever.
03:18But we then, once he recovered, then the strike happened.
03:23There was a writer's strike and an actor's strike.
03:26And so the whole year was taken up.
03:28We couldn't film.
03:30So we had to wait, because we still owed some film,
03:36like just to finish off the filming.
03:41And once we were able to do that, then it was another,
03:45it's been another year, basically, when it comes out.
03:47And Jamie himself also shared gratitude
03:50for his full recovery, telling the audience
03:52in his new Netflix special that he
03:54believes his teenage daughter's musical talent
03:57helped save his life.
03:58My vitals were so bad, they were going to lose me.
04:01And that's when a miracle happened.
04:07And that miracle was working through my youngest daughter.
04:14She's 14.
04:18I didn't want her to see me like that.
04:22But she snuck into my hospital room with her guitar.
04:28And she says, I know what my daddy needs.
04:40She says, that's my daddy.
04:44What's interesting is, my daughter used to carry her
04:46guitar all the time with her.
04:49And they said, when she was playing, my vitals went down.
04:57The nurses at the nurse's station were baffled.
05:01Like, wow, what did they give him?
05:04So they rushed into the room, and she said, I got him.
05:10It was God in that guitar.
05:16God was in that guitar.
05:19The emotional moment continued with the Oscar winner
05:21bringing out his daughter to play the guitar on stage.
