00:00Kiefer, two goals today, 2-0 win, pretty good return down to South Wales for you.
00:05Yeah, definitely. It was always going to be a tough game for us and they put up a good fight and
00:12thankfully, two goals for the better and to come away with three points.
00:16We'll talk about the team first of all. Patience had to be shown today. They were
00:20structured, they put a lot of men behind the ball but you also looked at it, didn't you,
00:24and didn't panic too much?
00:25Yeah, definitely. They definitely made it hard for us. The way they were shifting was very good and
00:30they didn't allow us a lot of space. They allowed us a little bit of time on the ball but
00:34ultimately, we couldn't break them down and, like you said, we had to be patient.
00:38When that moment did come, we had to be clinical.
00:41And you were. A couple of interesting bits about either goal. The first one,
00:45I thought you were going to complain about not getting a penalty first of all because the shirt
00:49was practically off your back and then you ripped it in the top corner.
00:52Yeah, sometimes that happens. As soon as I took that touch, I knew what I wanted to do.
01:00It's always nice when you see it ripple in the top corner.
01:02Yeah, it was a lovely goal and we won that. We needed it at that point in the game.
01:07And you were about to come off when you scored the second one. The managers already said that
01:10it would have had a little bit of a pop at you if you hadn't have scored with other options but,
01:15thankfully for you, it found the bottom corner.
01:18Yeah, definitely. It's always hard when you've taken that touch and I think there were three
01:23options I could have taken and I just saw the pitch just open up so I thought,
01:26I'll give it a go and then it went in the bottom corner so, yeah, very happy.
01:31You must be delighted with the last couple of weeks. Clearly a few games out which will have
01:34been frustrating but three and two for you just ahead of Christmas. A nice little run.
01:39Yeah, it's always difficult when you miss large parts of the season. I say large parts,
01:44it was five weeks. But, yeah, to come back and find some form now, I'm delighted.
01:51Must be pleased with the season as a whole so far. I know like every striker you'll have probably
01:56wanted more but to have five at this stage and with the team to be top of the table,
02:00it's fair to say the move's going okay so far.
02:02Yeah, definitely. It's been very good. I've loved every minute of it and I think the best thing
02:09about this team is everyone scoring. We've got loads of people on a good amount of goals already
02:14and goals just don't come from myself or from Ty and Gus and we're spreading the goals out which
02:19is a sign of a good team.
02:20And clearly today with 2-0 up and a few players missing, it would have been easy just to sit
02:25behind it. But as a team, you weren't, were you? You were still pushing on. Gus and Riyan had late
02:30efforts. I think that shows the quality of the team and what you want to achieve this year.
02:34Yeah, definitely. I think that sums us up. We're a never-say-die team and when we smell blood,
02:41we go for it. So, yeah, I'm delighted with the three points to come here. It's not an easy
02:46place to come and, yeah, delighted.
02:48Incredible position as well just finally to be top of the league at Christmas,
02:53admittedly with minus two as well, which still seems incredible. But I suppose the message is
02:58that that's only half a job.
03:00Yeah, definitely. It's credit to everyone, the staff, players, even the fans for getting behind
03:06us. It hasn't been easy. We've had to really ride our luck sometimes and sometimes we haven't played
03:13great football, but yet when you can win, that's a sign of a good team. So, yeah, let that always be
03:19with us and, yeah, we're delighted.
