00:00And three, two...
00:02Take one.
00:03-♪♪♪♪
00:05-♪♪♪♪
00:06Did you hear that?
00:08Were those gunshots?
00:09In September 5, we tell the true story
00:12of the tragic events of that day in 72 in Munich.
00:16Told from a very specific perspective.
00:19You're the only station going live with us.
00:21Your sports are in way over your head.
00:23Tim made it very clear in our first conversations
00:26that he wanted us to feel as authentic
00:29and as honest as possible.
00:31And he really gave us the stage to play it that way.
00:35Cam went tight on Jim.
00:37Two on preview.
00:38Tower cam, stay wide on building 31.
00:40Got it.
00:41A clear point of view
00:43is what's going to invest an audience.
00:45And that's a tribute to Tim.
00:48Everything takes place in that room.
00:49I wanted to have this claustrophobic feeling.
00:51Cam six.
00:52And shoot it as if we ourselves
00:55would be a documentary crew or a broadcast team
00:58in that room observing those people,
01:00observing the monitors.
01:02That's a TV.
01:03Are they seeing what we're seeing?
01:05What are you talking about?
01:06Are the terrorists seeing this?
01:09Keeping us in that tiny room
01:10and the crankiness that sometimes crept up
01:13was useful because that's very much
01:15what they must have been going through.
01:18Shut up, please.
01:19Shut up.
01:21Tim is really, really compulsive about detail.
01:25And he wanted everything to be pretty much as it was.
01:29The games of the 20th Olympiad
01:31have now been officially suspended.
01:33There's documentary footage that was cut into the movie
01:36and real working equipment.
01:38So it has the feeling of 1972.
01:41The amount of work and research that he's done,
01:43you felt in very safe hands.
01:45If they shoot someone on live television,
01:48whose story is that?
01:51In a time where everyone has a camera and a TV in their pocket
01:56and that we can live stream a lot of things at any time,
02:00I think it is interesting to take a step back
02:02and see on how, for the first time,
02:05a tragic event like this was on live television.
02:08We follow the story as it unfolds in real time.
