00:00We continue with the night cap tonight in Columbus. The eight
00:06seed Ohio State, the nine seed Tennessee. A seven and a half
00:10point spread in favor of the Buckeyes. The over under the
00:13lowest for any of our CFP opening round games at 46 and a
00:19half. Lee Seaguy, as we look at this matchup and we talked
00:22about the pressure that is mounting on those in Columbus.
00:26Ryan Day, the head coach, in a big spot, trying to rectify the
00:32very sour taste in the mouth of those in CBUS after losing to
00:36the maize and blue of Michigan for a fourth consecutive year.
00:41If he wants to calm the waters per se in Columbus, how big
00:45does Ohio State need to win by tonight? A seven and a half. I
00:50say that very convincingly. You gotta win by seven and a half.
00:53Eight or more, alright? That's it. Because I think anything
00:57else will be unacceptable and the reason, you know, I say that
01:00is we talk about playing at home and how important it is to
01:03have that home game for some of these teams. I wouldn't argue
01:06that point for James Franklin and Ryan Day respectively. I
01:08think both of those coaches would like to be on the road as
01:11opposed to playing in their respective. They might have a
01:13longer shelf life. Right? I mean, seriously, this is an
01:18important game and the reason why I say that is you look at
01:20the game against Oregon, right? Oregon abused that secondary
01:24for for Ohio State vertically and they attacked him on the
01:27perimeter with the rushing attack of Jordan James and
01:30Dylan Gabriel. Yeah. The only team similar from a tempo
01:33perspective is Tennessee. I honestly believe that. They run
01:36it at such a high pace that they could potentially. Yeah.
01:39Wear down that front seven of Ohio State and Nico might only
01:42have to throw fifteen, sixteen times in this matchup if the
01:45rushing attack is ripping off four and a half, five yards per
01:48carry. That is the style and the matchup tonight. I really
01:51want to see how this game does play out. A lot of pressure on
01:55Will Howard. A lot of pressure on that defense. They haven't
01:58answered the bell. Certainly against a blue collar rushing
02:01attack in Michigan. Last time they played, I'm leaning to
02:04Tennessee. I like them with the points and I do feel they
02:07strike the upset. So, I, my favorite bet in this game is a
02:10player prompt but I know not everybody out there can get
02:12those and and I've certainly been having fun betting all the
02:14sides and in both seasons. I wanted to. On a heater by the
02:16way. Thank you. Appreciate it. It's alright. Yeah, nice to
02:19see you. Smell the love. Don't think you're on Jacksonville
02:22State yesterday like the rest of us but that was Christmas
02:25shot. Um on on one month before the uh phone. So, um if I may.
02:32Yeah. Spread math a little. Please. Now, and I, by the way,
02:35you don't get to do that as much in ball season. So, I I
02:37wanna take this while I can. Tennessee is catching the same
02:40number that they caught when they went to Georgia. The week
02:44after Georgia had lost that game to Ole Miss and I'm just
02:47trying to perception of Georgia going into that game
02:50versus Ohio State going into this game. Perception of
02:53Tennessee going into that game versus Tennessee now and that's
02:57what I found myself more gravitated towards of the
03:00perception around Tennessee. We are rightfully focused on Ohio
03:04State. Yeah. Because of everything. Right. But I look
03:07at Tennessee's last game of the year. We were still here and it
03:10was seventeen seven fourteen nothing Vanderbilt and I was as
03:14confident as I'm like they are done. They are absolutely done.
03:19Javier does it again. He's gonna get his sixteenth season
03:21next year. Real excited for that. Like they're gonna run
03:24run run. I know it's Vanderbilt. To go down fourteen
03:29nothing and have the lead at half was very impressive to me.
03:34Yeah. From Tennessee. Not the type of game I thought they
03:38would have been able to execute here. You mentioned the
03:40spread. There's only one seven and a half still out there.
03:43Hmm. We're moving. Maybe we'll come back around. I would agree
03:48with Joe getting a touchdown plus in this game here. Again,
03:52Ohio State's separation. Yeah. They've won big games. They've
03:56hung in big games but they've not massively extended on
03:59anybody ironically outside of Indiana. Favorite in all twelve
04:03games this year that being Ohio State just six and six against
04:08the number. Tennessee an underdog twice. Outright win
04:11against Alabama. A non-cover against Georgia. Both of those
04:16games featured at most forty-eight points. Tennessee
04:19and four non-conference games averaged more than sixty-one
04:23points per game with an average margin of difference in those
04:26two of better than fifty-eight points per game but in their
04:30eight SEC matchups this season averaging just twenty-five
04:34points per game offensively with an average margin of fewer
04:37than six points per game and when you talk about defense
04:41there is none better statistically than that of Ohio
04:44State. The best scoring defense in the country. Ten point nine
04:47points per game. The best total defense in the country. A top
04:51ten rushing defense by the way Kev. Some of those numbers
04:55slightly off. The the sample size for both teams are very
04:58weird. I do say and you'll have more time. Jera, Maya, Smith.
05:02The kid's gonna have a day.
