00:00Your papa loved you so much."
00:10Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the times when Disney had
00:15us clutching our tissues for all the right reasons.
00:18Some of these moments are major spoilers, so beware.
00:34Number 20.
00:35This is my family, Lilo and Stitch.
00:46Alien Stitch crash lands on Kauai, and neither he nor young Lilo know what to make of each
00:52other.
00:53But the crazy little extraterrestrial creature forms a bond with Lilo and her older sister
00:57Nani, who runs their household now that their parents have passed away.
01:01There are a lot of heavy themes in Lilo and Stitch, but it's ultimately about a found
01:05family.
01:25When it comes time to return to space and leave them behind, he expresses just what
01:29Lilo and Nani represent to him, making us well up.
01:33This unit might be small and non-traditional, but so is Stitch.
01:55Number 19.
01:56Lightning McQueen pushes The King, Cars.
02:03Caught in a three-way heat between the veteran strip The King Weathers and the nasty young
02:06upstart Chick Hicks, the famed Lightning McQueen is poised to win the race of his career.
02:12Lightning McQueen sabotages King, sending him into a tailspin that effectively takes
02:16him out of the game.
02:31Lightning is about to take the whole thing, but his time in Radiator Springs has taught
02:35him what's really important.
02:37He gives up his chance to win the prized Piston Cup and pushes The King over the finish line.
02:42It's a really rough moment that turns into a great poignant lesson in humility and compassion.
03:04Number 18.
03:05It really matters.
03:06Soul.
03:07In 2020, Disney and Pixar got existential.
03:16Soul follows Joe Gardner, a pianist determined to become a big-time musician who falls into
03:21a coma after an accident.
03:23This experience leaves his soul lost between worlds.
03:26Joe fights to get back to his life, but first he must help 22, a soul who needs to find
03:31her spark.
03:33What they finally come to realize is that the whole purpose of life is just that, being
03:37alive.
03:38Your spark isn't your purpose.
03:40That last box fills in when you're ready to come live.
03:45And the thing is, you're pretty great at jazzing.
03:51Armed with the new knowledge, they leave the great beyond and commit to living on Earth.
03:55It's pretty intense stuff for a kids' movie, but as always, Pixar manages to make it not
04:00only accessible but beautiful to watch.
04:22Number 17.
04:23Some people are worth melting for.
04:25Frozen.
04:26When Princess Anna is brutally betrayed by Prince Hans, this mega-hit takes a turn for
04:38the dark.
04:39Olaf, the daffy snowman, arrives just in time to help her over to a toasty fire.
04:44They both know he'll melt if he stays with her too long, but Frozen proves time and again
04:49that it's not a standard Disney fairy tale.
04:51It has a pretty novel take on the healing power of love for the studio, who practically
04:56invented the happily ever after.
05:07He may be a little goofy, but Olaf is right.
05:21True love may be the answer they need, but it doesn't have to be romantic.
05:33Number 16.
05:34Riley rediscovers her love of hockey.
05:37Inside Out 2.
05:48One of the most gut-wrenching parts of the sequel sees Riley, now a teenager, dealing
05:52with mental health issues.
05:53Her panic attack during a hockey tryout is shockingly real.
05:57Convinced she's blown her chances at making the team, her personified emotions are working
06:01overtime to keep her from shorting out completely with anxiety.
06:13But Riley finds a way to center herself as her new sense of self forms.
06:17Calling Joy to the console, she recovers and thrives.
06:21It's a fitting climax to the story, but it's also a moving and helpful guide to young viewers
06:25who may find themselves in a similar situation.
06:46Number 15.
06:47May saves her mother, turning red.
07:05Adolescence is awkward enough.
07:07A generational curse where you turn into a giant red panda makes it even harder.
07:12That's May's dilemma in turning red.
07:14She's already at odds with her mother Ming, and this complicates everything.
07:18The Pixar hit uses the curse as an allegory for puberty and menstruation, but the themes
07:23go deeper as the story progresses.
07:25The generations of women have to heal old wounds to conquer this beast.
07:30During a ritual with the others in her family, May encounters her mother's inner child in
07:34the spiritual plane.
08:03She realizes that her mom had the same tension with May's grandmother, and suddenly it's
08:07a hard-hitting allegory for generational trauma.
08:10Her helping Ming, and everyone growing, has us in tears.
08:29Number 14.
08:30Quasimodo is accepted.
08:31The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
08:45Quasimodo has spent his whole life trapped in the Notre Dame bell tower by the demented
08:49Judge Frollo.
08:50He dreams of being accepted by a society that shuns him due to his appearance.
08:55After saving Esmeralda from being burned at the stake, she and Phoebus coax him out of
08:59the shadows to finally be received by the people of Paris.
09:03For a moment, the crowd's silence is tense.
09:06Then a young girl embraces Quasimodo on the steps of the cathedral, and the music swells.
09:11The cheers resound for the city's new hero, although it might be hard to hear them over
09:15our own sobs.
09:35Number 13.
09:36Moana's Return.
09:42Moana.
09:51In this seafaring adventure story, the daughter of a village chief finds that she's been
09:55chosen to restore the powers of a mythical goddess and save her island from a blight.
10:00Her treacherous journey among the gods and demigods ends in triumph, and she sets sail
10:04for her home island.
10:06With the forces of the ocean on her side, Moana returns.
10:10It's a monumental moment, worthy of the legends she's encountered.
10:13Her parents' emotions are palpable as they hold her again, and it's hard not to feel
10:17all fuzzy inside as everyone turns out to welcome her home.
10:37Number 12.
10:38Singing to Mama Coco, Coco.
10:51With all its moments of intergenerational contact and ancestors in the great beyond,
10:56Coco is sure to wring the tears out of you, though one of its most profound and beautiful
11:00moments is near the end.
11:02Miguel returns from his trip to the afterlife, having met his disgraced great-great-grandfather
11:07Hector.
11:08He sings Hector's song to his elderly and unwell great-grandmother Coco.
11:28For the first time, she becomes animated enough to reminisce about her dad, ensuring that
11:32his spirit will not be forgotten in the afterlife.
11:36Watching the family come together and finally remember the man they wrongly thought abandoned
11:40them is unforgettably gorgeous.
12:07Number 11.
12:08The Adventure Album, Up.
12:23Carl is a recent widower who never went on the big South American adventure he and his
12:27wife dreamed of.
12:28Having flown his whole house to the continent with just a bunch of balloons, he's come face-to-face
12:33with his idol, an adventurer who turns out to be a crooked criminal.
12:37Feeling trodden and taking refuge in memories of his wife, he finds a message she left him
12:41that allows him to move on for good.
12:55They may not have ever gone on the adventure they thought, but their life together was
12:59one worth remembering.
13:01It makes her passing in the movie's famous opening montage sting a little less.
13:06It's all enough to turn on the waterworks for us.
13:23Number 10.
13:24He Becomes a Star, The Princess and the Frog.
13:42It's hard not to get attached to this sparkly little Cajun firefly as he guides Tiana and
13:47Naveen through the bayou.
13:48His know-how and sense of humor make him instantly lovable, plus his romance with Evangeline
13:53the star just melts your heart, especially since it's clearly not meant to be.
13:58That's why it's absolutely heartbreaking when the Shadow Man kills Rey.
14:05However, just when all seems lost, everyone looks to the sky to see him join his belle
14:17Evangeline.
14:18What's even more touching is it looks as if the two stars are holding hands.
14:22What were once tears of sadness turn to tears of joy as we realize the impossible love of
14:27Rey and Evangeline is actually meant to be.
14:50Number 9.
14:51Dory Reunites with Her Parents, Finding Dory.
15:00Her name is Dory and she suffers from short-term memory loss.
15:04This is the mantra Dory repeats to herself even after she loses and forgets her parents.
15:09So when she suddenly remembers she has a family, the film becomes an emotional rollercoaster
15:13as she tracks one memory after another to find them.
15:17When she follows the seemingly random line of shells to her parents, you can't help but
15:21feel joy when she finally discovers them.
15:33It gets even more emotional when Dory learns that they waited all those years in the same
15:38spot, hoping one day their kelp cake would find them.
15:41We're so proud of her when she does, it's hard to stop the tears.
15:56Number 8.
15:57Mulan Comes Home, Mulan.
16:05She left home and joined the army to bring honor to us all.
16:09into a society that values sons over daughters, Mulan struggles to show that she can be just
16:14as valuable without conforming to the domestic role she clearly isn't good at.
16:18That's why she gets down to business to defeat the Huns and then lays her spoils of war at
16:22her father's feet.
16:24By doing all of that, Mulan hopes to show she could be someone her family can be proud
16:28of.
16:41The tears finally well up when Fazu tosses the items aside, without even looking at them,
16:46and embraces his daughter, telling her he was always proud of her.
17:07Number 7.
17:09Riley shows how she really feels, inside out.
17:21For one reason or another, we've all buried what we're really feeling deep down inside
17:25us, and that's exactly why this scene strikes a chord with so many of us.
17:29It's the moment where Riley comes home after trying to run away.
17:32She breaks down in tears and tells her parents that she doesn't like San Francisco as she
17:36led them to believe, but really misses home.
17:46To Riley's surprise though, her parents let her know that she's not alone in her homesickness.
17:51They also miss the home where she made so many of her childhood memories.
17:54In that moment, Riley learns that it's okay to be sad, and sadness and joy finally learn
17:59to work together.
18:14Number 6.
18:15Ariel gets her legs back.
18:16The Little Mermaid.
18:23We have to assume that most dads would at least lose their tempers if their daughter
18:26wanted to change species to be with a guy.
18:29So is Triton blowing up Eric's statue and yelling at Ariel for loving him really that
18:33much of an overreaction?
18:34However, when Eric saves Ariel from Ursula, Triton realizes that this fish eater might
18:39not be such a bad guy, to show his daughter how much he loves her.
18:43Triton gives Ariel her legs back so she can be part of that world.
19:12It's a sweet father-daughter moment where dad realizes that his little girl is growing
19:15up and ready to leave the cove.
19:17Really, all he wants is for her to be happy.
19:36Number 5.
19:37Aladdin uses his last wish for Genie, Aladdin.
19:47It turns out that Genie ain't never had a friend like Aladdin.
19:50Genie is all ready to turn Aladdin back into a prince.
19:54That's why Aladdin's third wish catches him completely off guard, even though Aladdin
19:58promised Genie his freedom when they met.
20:01It's a gift that's worth more than the world to Genie, but one he's unlikely to receive,
20:05or so he thought.
20:26Genie's excitement and disbelief at his newfound freedom are enough to warm even the coldest
20:30of hearts.
20:31The fact that Aladdin gives up his chance at true love and royalty to end his friend's
20:35eternal servitude makes it even more touching.
20:39Aladdin's final wish gives Genie a whole new world and a whole new life.
20:57Number 4.
20:58WALL-E gets rebooted.
21:00WALL-E.
21:17Eve and WALL-E are two robots that will make you believe in humanity again.
21:21WALL-E's so persistently positive that he even wears Eve down and basically teaches
21:25a fellow robot to love.
21:27When he gets electrocuted and crushed, you can't help but pray she'll make it to Earth
21:31in time to save him.
21:33But when WALL-E reboots, he doesn't remember Eve or anything else beyond his job.
21:46It's tear-jerking to watch as she and the cockroach try to jog his memory with no success.
21:51When Eve's just about to give up, WALL-E suddenly remembers, holds hands with Eve, and calls
21:57her name.
21:58Cue the happy tears.
22:19Number 3.
22:20Rapunzel meets her parents, tangled.
22:35It would seem that mother doesn't always know best, especially when that mother isn't actually
22:39your mother.
22:40Honestly, it's pretty upsetting to see Rapunzel's abusive relationship with Mother Gothel, especially
22:45since Rapunzel's loving parents have spent 18 years looking for their child by releasing
22:49the lanterns, desperately hoping she's still alive.
23:12It's devastating to see the king and queen's faces as they're about to release the lanterns,
23:17because it's clear the loss of their baby still affects them as deeply as it did so
23:20many years ago.
23:22So when mother, father, and daughter are reunited, you can't help but smile that Rapunzel's found
23:27the family she deserves, and her parents have finally got their daughter back.
23:48Number 2.
23:49Circle of Life – The Lion King
24:01It's a song that moves us all.
24:03It's so iconic, everyone belts out the first words even if they have no clue what they're
24:08saying.
24:09Circle of Life is a perfect soundtrack for the scene where a newborn Simba takes his
24:13place in the Circle of Life.
24:15The musical buildup is intense, and the visuals are equally impressive, showing us the members
24:20of the Pride Lands coming together to celebrate this momentous birth.
24:46And when that title card pops onto the screen, we couldn't be more excited for what's to
24:51come.
24:52It's only fitting that the song comes back at the end of the film, when Simba and Nala
24:55welcome a bundle of joy of their own.

25:30Number 1.
25:32Indy Gives His Toys a New Home – Toy Story 3
25:49Bring on the nostalgia.
25:51This third installment of the Toy Story franchise definitely hits you right in the childhood.
25:55Whether it's Woody and the gang being accidentally given away, or Lotso's story, or the incinerator,
26:01this movie certainly has its ups and downs.
26:03But when Andy gives his toys to Bonnie, it's hard to tell if you should cry or smile.
26:28On the one hand, it's great that the toys have a new home where they'll be treated
26:31well.
26:32On the other hand, they're leaving Andy after having spent his entire childhood with
26:36him.
26:54If you weren't crying earlier in the movie, then Woody's so-long partner will certainly
26:58send you over the edge as Andy and his toys part ways.
27:02Did these Disney moments give you all the feels?
