00:00We talked about the technicals that the Celtics faced yesterday
00:02and Wiggy brought up a great point when it comes to the refs
00:04and some of these calls, and it's not just a Celtics issue though,
00:07it's across the league when it comes to the refs,
00:10just not knowing what they're doing, what they're calling.
00:12It's bad.
00:14Eddie House, after the game yesterday, was asked about it
00:17and I thought he put it perfectly.
00:19Went on a little bit of a rant, here's what he had to say.
00:21They lost the game because of the refs.
00:23And this is the thing,
00:24nobody, this is what the referee's got to understand,
00:26and everybody has egos, they all do out there.
00:29The referee's got egos too.
00:30I've played in the league for 11 years
00:32and there was referees out there that did certain things
00:35that when they called a foul, they did,
00:37they were more animated when they made the call.
00:40They tee you up quickly.
00:43They don't want to hear anything that you got to say.
00:45But this is what the referee's got to understand.
00:47There's not one person in the building that came to see them
00:50unless they gave tickets to some work that they had.
00:52Unless it's somebody that they're seeing,
00:54their wife is there, their friend is there,
00:56somebody that they know.
00:57Nobody comes to see the referees.
01:00Get out of the way of the game.
01:01Do what you're supposed to do and that's just officiate.
01:04Don't make it about you.
01:05Your ego should be checked at the door when you coming through.
01:08And vice versa, there should be egos checked at the door from the players.
01:12But if you are doing something egregious that's wrong,
01:15just like how you could call a technical foul,
01:17you know what, how we get fined for getting texts,
01:20they should get fined for calling bogus texts.
