00:00We will update you on the situation in airport terminals this last Friday before Christmas.

00:04We will talk to Manila International Airport Authority head executive assistant, Atty. Manuel Jeffrey David.

00:10Good morning and welcome to our news this afternoon.

00:13Good morning. I'm sorry, I'm on mute.

00:16How many passengers are we expecting to pass through our airport terminals?

00:23Well, between December 19 and January 5, we're looking at around 4.3 million passengers will be going through Naiya.

00:36Has this increased compared to the past years?

00:40Yes, we're looking at around an average of 11% increase from 2023.

00:48Okay. What are the changes or adjustments that passengers are expecting for their travel to our terminals now?

00:56Okay. Well, NNIC has already made a lot of improvements as far as infrastructure improvements in the terminal is concerned.

01:05So, if they can see, number one, the temperature inside the terminals is already cold or comfortable.

01:13At the same time, they might also see certain improvements in our surroundings.

01:20So, that was made so that we can make sure that our countrymen can travel seamlessly this Christmas.

01:30If there are a lot of people, there will also be an average, right?

01:34Is there a promise that nothing will happen due to the holiday rush?

01:39Well, everybody's preparing for all eventualities.

01:45But, of course, we're saying that we can't avoid everything that will happen.

01:51But, they can all hope that we're doing what's right so that if there's a problem, we'll find a way to correct it.
