00:00Mr. Speaker, as we all remember, it started in the early 2000s

00:06when China sought permission from the Philippine government

00:10for joint exploration for mineral resources in our territorial seas.

00:14We were surprised one morning when we woke up in 2012

00:20because China had already occupied the Scarborough Shoal

00:24which is inside our territorial seas.

00:27What they said was that it was theirs.

00:31That and the basis is historic rights.

00:35Historic rights means that since the first time,

00:41fishermen have been crossing and sailing in our seas

00:46which is why they are called the Scarborough Shoal.

00:51There are many species of fish that have been crossing and sailing in this sea

00:57since the first time, not just the Chinese, Mr. Speaker.

01:03It is not possible for China to be the basis for the so-called historic rights.

01:10All of these have been replaced by laws and treaties in recent times.

01:18All of these laws and treaties are needed to put order in the world

01:24and to stop the chaos.

01:28The very minimum that we can do is to declare freedom

01:34and to have no fear of our rights according to the laws.

01:40Second, let us unite in condemning the atrocities that China is committing against us.

01:48We should not get tired of condemning and exposing to the whole world

01:54their wrongdoings and their trespasses in our territory.

02:01From the acquisition of lands and territories in the West Philippine Sea

02:06to their harassment of our fishermen and fishermen

02:11and their bullying of our sea vehicles.

02:17The most painful of all, Mr. Speaker,

02:20is that our fellow Filipinos are defending them.

02:24There are so-called new electors around us.

02:32For their own reasons, they are saying that there is nothing wrong with what China is doing

02:38in the acquisition of our territories

02:41and that we should have a dialogue so that this matter can be resolved peacefully.

02:48Haven't they seen how many times we have talked to the leaders of China?

02:56What is their response?

02:59There is only one thing.

03:01Our entire ocean, our entire Philippines is ours

03:06based on our historic rights towards China.

03:10What China wants is our garbage and our arbitral award

03:14before they talk to us and confront us.

03:18That is why, Mr. Speaker,

03:21I am calling

03:23especially to you paid trolls and vloggers

03:27who, until this time, prefer to take the side of China.

03:30Let us all unite.

03:32Set all our sights towards the enemy

03:36and have a common narrative for our freedom, sovereignty, and love of country.

03:41In what you are doing to deceive the people,

03:45I am certain, Mr. Speaker,

03:48that our heroes are turning in their graves.

03:52If you don't want to be called a traitor or a new chosen one,

03:56prove that you are not paid by the syndicates of China.

04:01Instead of spreading fake news and propaganda of China,

04:06they are your enemies.

04:09You will read every day what our enemies are doing to us.

04:13Do not blunder

04:16or be deceived by their lies.

04:19We love our country

04:23because it is the only one.

04:26Mr. Speaker,

04:28I do not believe that China will wage war against us

04:32because we sided with our Western allies.

04:36This is the propaganda of the new chosen ones.

04:40As a matter of fact, we achieved quite the opposite.

04:44We are now actually benefiting from the alliance

04:47as we have received modern defense equipment, training, and protection.
