The Foreign Minister said the sum has been strategically distributed to key platforms, such as the United Nations’ flash appeals; Ops Ihsan, an initiative led by NGOs working alongside the Egyptian Red Crescent and Palestinian Red Crescent Society, with support from the Egyptian Government.

00:00We can hold a brief but very meaningful meeting for Wisma Putra to represent the Malaysian government
00:15to hand over humanitarian aid to the Jordanian government,
00:23i.e. aid for the Palestinian people through the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization,
00:32which is the government's NGO.
00:36Aid worth US$5 million is money that has been donated by the Malaysian people
00:49under the Palestine People's Humanitarian Trust AAKRP,
00:56which has been raised to US$3.5 million.
01:01We have donated a lot to the Red Crescent Society,
01:18the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
01:21Today, I went to Amman to hand over US$500,000 to the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization
01:36and to King Hussein Hospital, which treats the majority of children and injured Palestinians.
01:46This is the effort of the Malaysian people, the Malaysian government,
01:54to continue to help the Palestinian people who have experienced inhuman cruelty.
02:03Women, children, and innocent people were killed, as if their lives were priceless.
02:11Today, almost 44,000 people die every day.
02:18Every day, they are bombed.
02:20The refugee camps are bombed.
02:22Schools are bombed.
02:23Mosques are bombed.
02:24Churches are bombed.
02:26All of them.
02:27There is no safe place.
02:29Even though they directed the Palestinian people to go to a safe place,
02:33the safe place is also bombed.
02:36This is the fate of the Palestinian people.
02:40We are very saddened.
02:42And Alhamdulillah, the Malaysian people have a spirit of solidarity
02:50to help anyone in need.
02:54We were able to raise a large amount of money, US$500,000.
02:59Including today, we have handed over to certain parties there,
03:07and through our NGO representatives here, through Op Esan and others,
03:13we have handed over more than US$700,000.
03:17There is a little more, and we will hand it over to the Palestinians
03:23so that they can rebuild or re-manage the ruins that have been destroyed
03:31and medical assistance that is very much needed.
03:35And also, during this cold season, there are various difficulties faced by the Palestinians,
03:41especially the clothing that can withstand the cold in that area.
03:49So this is what we will continue to do.
03:52And I ask the Malaysian people to have a high level of concern
04:01not only for the Palestinians, but for others as well.
04:04Continue to donate, to help these refugees,
04:11especially the AAKRP refugees, because they need a lot of help.
04:20And Merisma Putra will manage these refugees in a good way,
04:25and we will continue to help them.
04:27Every three months, we will send this donation to the Cabinet.
04:32To whoever we hand it over, and how much we have handed it over.
04:37Very transparent, and anyone can see the account, God willing.
