00:11Good morning, Raffy, and to all of our listeners.

00:14Yes, the chance of an LPA in Mindanao being a typhoon is high.

00:17Will this be a concern for those who have experienced a typhoon?

00:21Well, for now, this is close to our country's territory.

00:24We do not rule out that this could be a typhoon

00:28or within the next 24 hours.

00:31We will give it a local name, Kerubin.

00:34And because this is close to our country's territory,

00:37we do not expect the typhoon to be that strong,

00:40like the typhoon Sendung that hit Mindanao in 2011.

00:43We do not expect it to be that strong,

00:46but for now, we need to make sure of its possible effects.

00:49Because if this becomes a typhoon in the next 20 or within the 24-hour period,

00:55there will be an immediate increase in the number of wind signals

00:58in some parts of the Mindanao area.

01:12Heavy to intense here in Surigao or Karaga

01:17and here in some parts of the Davao region.

01:20While moderate to heavy in the remaining parts of the Davao region.

01:24And here in the Agusan area,

01:27those are the areas that are in the eastern part of Mindanao.

01:30And in the next few days, we expect that there will be more areas

01:34that will experience moderate to heavy to intense rains

01:38because of the potential typhoon in the eastern part of the Mindanao area.

01:43Is it possible for the LPA to change its direction,

01:45especially if this becomes a typhoon?

01:48Well, for now, we can see that if this becomes a typhoon,

01:52there is a greater chance that it will return to the Bitayas-Mindanao area

01:56within the next 2-3 days.

01:58That's why we already had a meeting with the OCDN-DRMT

02:03and other government agencies that are our partners

02:06in disaster reduction and management,

02:08especially if there are weather systems that are being monitored.
