00:08That is the feeling of a woman who only wanted to be known as Anna, 46 years old,

00:13when she first lived in a wheelchair after being deceived by an agent who promised a job in 2015.

00:20The difficulties experienced at the beginning of immigration forced her to borrow money from the public

00:27before Nur Akmal Ali came to help.

00:30I have been with Kak Akmal for a long time, since I sat on the side of the road until now.

00:36I have never slept on the side of the road, like sitting on the side of the road, that's how it is.

00:41Akmal Ali dedicates himself in Lorong Hanir, around Cokit, to lead a group of drug addicts,

00:49sex workers, transgenders and homeless people.

00:53Even though people say they can't change, but as humans, as long as there is an opportunity, we have to help, God willing.

01:02Based on her experience, the mother of three children said she has been involved in the world of drugs for nine years

01:10and has now managed to build a center as a temporary shelter for the addicted.

01:18Since opening on January 3, the charity and preaching center Singgah Tedoh Nur Kasih

01:24has helped more than 4,000 homeless people around the capital city in getting basic needs such as housing and food.

01:33We want those who have been far away, to return to normal life.

01:43We look for jobs, those who feel okay, we look for jobs and we help,

01:50like we help with the IC, we help them get the help they deserve.

01:59So we manage the process.

02:02Nur Akmal hopes that the community will not judge and throw away the negative stigma against the addicts

02:08because they deserve to be given the opportunity to change and be entitled to live like other people.

02:15Indeed, our goal is to help, not just to help them sleep and eat.

02:20Whatever we can do for them, we will do it.

02:24We will go and do it.

02:26And Alhamdulillah, there are already tens of people who have got a room,

02:30and there are already tens of people who have got help from Baytomal, Alhamdulillah.

02:35And we will continue this.
