00:00Hi, so I'm Michael, this is us here, we've got a few interested people and this is the van, all decorated up, we've got the contents of our home here because we might have to move here, and there's worse places to live, look at the view over there.
00:18So this is Roscoe, she's in charge of the key, aren't you Roscoe? Give me five, come on then, that's it, good girl, look at you.
00:30And this is our sign here, and the bit I was saying about the form, which is a simple application to the court to get it removed, that's called a N244, and we're right outside Booth right now, and we're going to be here tomorrow.
00:46The manager here, John, he gave me rather a frosty response this morning, but I just politely told him that I really didn't feel I had any other choice to do this.
00:57We've been quite subtle with our decoration, we've got a small eight foot flag there, and hopefully you'll be in touch and I can talk to you guys some more. Thank you.
01:09So, fire mates at Booth here aren't particularly interested in my sob story, and they aren't going to do anything, so I've said I will pay all the fines, and I'm happy to do that.
01:21You know, it's my fault, I've missed the paperwork, I'm happy to pay the court costs, I'm happy to take them all out for dinner, and they just won't do anything.
01:31I've spent a tireless amount of time trying to work with them on it, and to be honest I think they've been a bit snooty.
01:38So, we've decided to come here and make sure we make a show of things, and hopefully this is going to end up with someone who might be able to help in some way seeing it,
01:49or maybe it might push them a little bit to do something a bit more positive and try and perhaps do the right thing.
01:56Paying the fine is one thing, but messing about with people's future and credit history for something that they could just resolve just isn't really fair, is it?
02:08Hello everyone, so I've just met a gentleman who's got quite a bit of experience with law, and he's been kind enough to just tell me he will give me his knowledge on this to share with you guys and where I can go.
02:19He doesn't want to be identified for a couple of reasons, but he's very kindly said he'll give me his expertise on this.
02:24Obviously this is without prejudice, but everybody in the UK is entitled to a defence, and it would appear by the authorities or the people that have obviously brought the CCJ against you,
02:41they have not informed you correctly, and therefore you have no knowledge of being able to defend yourself.
02:49So therefore there's obviously question marks, questions that need to be answered over this situation, but everybody's entitled to a defence in the UK.
03:01So really what you're saying now is that because I haven't received a recorded delivery letter that's got my signature on that shows that I actually knew about this,
03:10therefore had a chance to pay the fine, deal with it and not have a CCJ in my name, I haven't had a fair opportunity to deal with that.
03:18Because I didn't know.
03:20I'm sorry that I've missed lots of people's calls and I haven't responded to people's comments, an effort that they've made on Facebook.
03:27One thing that really struck me this morning, Andrew Finlay, our mayor of Skegness, he's taken the time to do several things, contact local MPs and generally just be supportive and a good member of the community.
03:44So thank you, Adrian, for that.
03:46So we had a few developments today, I spent 20 minutes on a Zoom call with BBC, hence why I put the old glad rags on.
03:55And also another extraordinary little bit of fortune I suppose, went into the store earlier, because the laboratories are just second to none here,
04:06and I happened to spot someone who's in quite a senior position within the shop, next to the magazine rack, and he was on the phone to someone obviously much higher up in the rankings here,
04:21and he happened to be discussing me, and he went through several things that I'm not going to share because I don't really see any need to at the minute.
04:32My goal here is just to get rid of a CCJ, not to start causing people problems or threaten people's jobs or persecute someone who's a member of the community.
04:43But that information is really quite useful to me.
04:47Some of the things I can say is that they think I've got a plan.
04:51They think it's quite well thought out, is what he said.
04:54And he was discussing that we use an umbrella on a long pole to stick over the camera that catches your number plate,
05:03and that we're using false plates as soon as we're off the highway and we come in here.
