00:20saw the delivery of important recognitions at the forefront of the Italian and international cultural panorama.
00:26We have always preferred the choice of poetry, both of the book,
00:32that is, of the edited poetry, and of the poetry that is written by young people
00:38who apply to be judged by this authoritative jury that we have.
00:43And then, for some years, we have also always put on the field, with the discretion of the jury,
00:48awards for personalities who have distinguished themselves in the literary artistic field of various genres.
00:54And this year we have important names.
00:57Bruno Vespa received the Laurentum Award for his contribution to television journalism.
01:03The jury of the award, chaired by Gianni Letta, then awarded Giovanna Botteri
01:08the recognition for excellence in international journalism,
01:11and Francesca Fagnani was awarded for her courage in the inquiry with Malaroma Criminale.

01:36especially in the contexts marked by conflicts.
01:39The ceremony reiterated the central role of the Laurentum Award
01:42in valuing creativity and cultural heritage,
01:45at a time when art and culture are more than ever tools of development and rebirth.
01:50The love for culture, for poetry, for art,
01:53the conviction that art, poetry and this type of initiative
02:00can represent something really important from the point of view of issues such as inclusiveness, acceptance.
02:06Talking about these things at a time like this, historical, social, cultural, we believe is fundamental.
02:13So for us it is a commitment of volunteering, but in which we believe a lot.
02:18It's been 40 years, about, 38 editions of the award,
02:21but the cultural center has been in the Roman territory since 1982, so from before.
02:27We perceive a strong need for this type of initiative.
