00:00In other news, the Congress is investigating the alleged failure of PhilHealth to provide sufficient healthcare to Filipinos and if the agency's use of this fund is correct.

00:16Under the Universal Healthcare Law, all Filipinos should be covered by Social Health Insurance.

00:22PhilHealth's role is to ensure equal access to health services to all its members, including medicines, laboratory tests, and others.

00:30There are a lot of requirements. You just need to buy your own medicine.

00:35We, the seniors, can't afford it. We should be free.

00:39Not everyone is using it. Not everyone in the hospital is getting all the privileges.

00:46Senator J.V. Ejercito, the principal sponsor of this law, is responsible for PhilHealth's failure to fulfill its duty.

00:55That's why he will call for an oversight committee hearing to find out the shortcomings of the implementation.

01:42PhilHealth is still positive that the president will review the zero subsidy.

01:47But he said that he will not give it.

01:49Whatever our funds are for now, like the surplus and investment funds, we will get our funds for 2025.
