00:27After Russian overnight drone and missile attack, regional authorities said on Sunday.
00:33Local media report that Russia had launched a total of 108 drones and an anti-aircraft
00:38missile during the night as part of the ongoing aerial campaign against Ukraine.
00:44Ukraine's air force said the military had successfully shot down 56 of these drones.
00:51Across the border in the Russian city of Belgorod, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said
00:56the Ukrainian drone attack had killed a 9-year-old boy.
01:04Gladkov reported that 37 drones had been fired on the area within a 24-hour period.
01:10One of these attacks reportedly struck a residential building in the village of Metski, killing
01:15the boy and injuring his mother and sister.
01:23Two Russian oil tankers were badly damaged in a storm in the Kerch Strait, spilling oil

01:32One tanker ran aground and had its bow torn away, with Russian media saying one person
01:36on board was killed while the rest were saved by emergency services.
01:41The second tanker was also damaged in the storm and left drifting in the same area with
01:46its crew members aboard.
01:49Ukrainian officials accused Moscow of recklessness, saying the tankers were too old to go out

01:59Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said the U.S. has been in direct contact with the
02:04Hayat Tahrir al-Sham rebel group in Syria.
02:08Blinken said he'd laid out the principles for ongoing support for Syria's political

02:14He said it was important to work with HTS to build the inclusive, non-sectarian, peaceful
02:19and sovereign state the Syrian people want.
02:22Earlier in Jordan, he also urged Israel and Hamas to conclude a ceasefire and hostage
02:27return deal to bring an end to more than a year of war.
02:31Those comments come on the same day the Palestinian medical official said at least seven people
02:36were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City.
02:39The strike hit a school which was sheltering displaced families.
02:43The hospital which received the casualty said at least 12 people had been injured.
02:48Among the dead was a woman and her two-day-old baby girl.

04:20residents in their homes and causing fires in the country's second-largest oil refinery.
04:26Bullets reportedly hit oil tanks, leading to dangerous fires, but firefighters managed
04:31to control the blaze and gas leaks as clashes raged around the refinery.
04:37Oil-rich Libya has been divided for years between rival administrations in the east
04:41and west.
04:42It was plunged into chaos after a civil war which toppled the government of Muammar Gaddafi.
