UP beats La Salle in UAAP men's basketball

University of the Philippines exacted revenge on last year's Finals tormentor De La Salle University to claim the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball title through a 66-62 Game 3 win at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

Quentin Millora-Brown sank the insurance free throws in the last 11.3 seconds as the Fighting Maroons put an end to back-to-back runner-up finishes before a record crowd of 25,248 fans.

Millora-Brown finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Francis Lopez backstopped him with 12 markers, 11 boards, and six assists against nine turnovers.
