00:00All right, let's go now to the tight end position here.
00:06We have Cade Otten at the Chargers.
00:08It's going to be a nice asset for Baker Mayfield, or it's going to be Pat Friermuth, perhaps
00:13a best and only option, but they do have Philadelphia's defense with which to contend.
00:18So how do we lean?
00:19I got to tell you, you know, Cade Otten had a really good run there when Godwin Evans
00:22were down and Evans came back and Cade Otten has basically disappeared.
00:26And it's been very frustrating to watch.
00:28So I don't know what's been going on here, why that's been the case.
00:31You would think Otten would have remained a little bit more involved in the offense.
00:34He's on the field so much, he's on the field for so many snaps.
00:37But the trend line has been going in a much better direction here for Pat Friermuth.
00:41Two touchdowns in his last two games.
00:43He has caught nine balls of his 10 targets over his last two games.
00:47So Russell Wilson starting to spread the ball around a little bit.
00:49The Eagles secondary very good.
00:50The Eagles linebacking core still a little bit more of a weakness.
00:53So that being said, I will lean towards Pat Friermuth without Pickens in this lineup.
00:59I mentioned this in the DFS segment too.
01:02Mike Williams is not a big possession wide receiver guy.
01:04You're going to be seeing a lot of usage of some different people.
01:07You might even see some Justin Fields packages too, especially in the red zone.
01:11Kind of make the Eagles work for it a little bit.
01:13So don't be shocked if they get a little gimmicky here with Pickens out because Pickens has
01:16been the go-to for Russell Wilson and the go-to for this offense and it's a serious
01:20hamstring issue.
01:21So we're trying to get him healthy for the playoffs because the Steelers know they're
01:23a playoff team.
01:24This is going to be a tough game for the Steelers to win.
01:26Tomlin on the road is something that, you know, as an underdog, you always run to take.
01:30I do think they can cover still, but it is going to be a dicey situation.
01:35And I think Pat Friermuth is going to have to step up.
01:37So Kimmy Friermuth against the Eagles, again, tough matchup on paper, but I like the touchdown
01:41equity he brings today.
01:42All right, Joe, on behalf of everyone, we say thank you for doing this each and every
01:46week.
01:47I don't know if anyone ever stops you in the street and says it, but thanks so much because
01:49it definitely does help.
01:51All right.
01:52Now let's go to the quarterback discussion.
01:53Now, based off your analysis of the Dell-Moore situation, I imagine, I know which way you're
01:58leaning, but I'll let you talk us through it.
02:00CJ Stroud against Minnesota or Jameis Winston against Kansas City?
02:03Gotta love what he's been doing lately, Jameis.
02:06Look, CJ Stroud has only finished as a QB once since week five, once.
02:13So I know the weather is an issue and I came back to that when I was like, okay, secondary
02:18wide receiver.
02:19I don't want to play Elijah Moore, but I think I want to play Winston here.
02:23Winston is reckless.
02:24Winston is entertaining.
02:26He can give you a heart attack.
02:27There's no doubt about that.
02:28He's going to give you some turnovers, but he's also going to give you some touchdowns.
02:32He on the flip side in the last four weeks has had three QB one finishes, three.
02:39CJ Stroud has had one since week five.
02:41At a certain point, I think you have to look back and you have to say, look, enough is
02:45enough here.
02:46CJ Stroud, for whatever reason, has taken a little step back from a fantasy perspective
02:49this year.
02:50Yes, they've been a little bit more run heavy too with Joe Mixon.
02:52I think last year, the way that offensive line was all injured for the first half, they
02:57got away from the run, running back issues, running back injuries, hampered them.
03:01Now they got Joe Mixon.
03:02This offense has become a little bit more conservative.
03:04You had Nicol Collins miss a stretch there for about five weeks.
03:07So I get that.
03:09That's part of what's baked into his missing numbers this year.
03:13But at a certain point, somebody has to step up too.
03:15He did have digs, at least for a short time in that absence.
03:17He did still have Tank Dell.
03:18So I'm going to go with Winston here.
03:20I know the weather is troubling.
03:22I know it's going to be tricky.
03:23I know there's going to be turnovers.
03:24I just hope there's some touchdowns to go with them.
03:26But I can't go down the CJ Stroud well anymore because it's just not bearing any fruit.
03:30If you have a lineup that is super fantastic and you just want to get your points and get
03:33out without any volatility, that's the only time you start Stroud.
03:37Maybe you can give you a, I don't know, QB 15 performance and you'll take that if you're
03:41really concerned about Winston, but that's the only way I'm starting Stroud over Winston
03:44this week.
03:45All right.
03:46Now you've mentioned how the Carolina Panthers have become plucky.
03:49They are indeed favorites today.
03:52Bryce Young against Dallas or Russell Wilson at Philadelphia.
03:55Let's talk.
03:58Starting Bryce Young.
03:59I can't believe I'm saying this, but the matchup against the Eagles is really tough on top
04:03of him not having that one go-to wide receiver.
04:07Bryce Young has played good football and Bryce Young has Chuba Hubbard.
04:09He's got Adam Thielen.
04:10He's got Leguette.
04:11He's got all these weapons at his disposal.
04:14And he's been playing much better football.
04:15Last week he was under 200 yard passing, but the week before 298 against Tampa, the week
04:20before that 263, I'd like to see him throw a, perform more touchdowns, but that would,
04:26you know, beggars can't be choosers here.
04:27He's also had a rushing touchdown over that span too.
04:29So give me Bryce Young over Russell Wilson because it is very close in the expert consensus
04:34rankings and I think Young just has the better day when all is said and done.
