00:00Uh, I guess if there was a true league winner, like the player, like what I consider a league
00:09winner, George is someone that didn't go in the first couple of rounds, maybe was a little
00:14bit later that people weren't as high on as some others, they ended up being the best.
00:19And even this player, by the way, was still taken relatively high in fantasy.
00:23But I personally think if there was one above all, it would be Saquon Barkley.
00:27I think to me, that was the guy, you know, still a good player on Philadelphia.
00:33But again, he lost a lot of luster from being on the Giants for so long.
00:37I mean, this guy's going to rush for like 2000 yards, you know, like to me, he was the
00:41most like the fantasy MVP, I think, based on his draft position and based on the output.
00:45And we'll go through everyone else too.
00:47But I think to me, maybe you'll tell me if I missed anybody.
00:50I think he was the most valuable based on where he was picked there.
00:55The problem is he was drafted in the first round, second round at worst.
00:58I know I got a couple of leagues where I took him.
01:01Not one or two or 10.
01:03He was like back in, he was really, was he drafted top five, top six?
01:08I don't know if I say top five, top six.
01:10I think he's more back end of the first round, more maybe in that 10 to 14 range.
01:15He was heavily because we thought he could do, we thought maybe they wouldn't do a tush
01:18pusher as much with him.
01:20We knew he was good.
01:21Eagles were good and all that.
01:23The only running back who I think was drafted definitely above him was Carl Christian McCaffrey.
01:26Then it became, okay, do you want Hall?
01:28Do you want Bajon Robinson?
01:29Do you want Barkley?
01:31You know, sort of what order are we going in here?
01:33You know, he threw in a bunch of receivers that went first.
01:36So I'm probably not giving him fantasy MVP for that reason.
01:39It just went too early.
01:40He did, he outperformed what we thought.
01:42There's no way anybody saw this coming.
01:44All right.
01:45But I don't know if I'd give him fantasy MVP.
01:47That being said, there's no obvious choice here.
01:52There's no guy.
01:53He said, there's no Pukunuku here.
01:54I'm going through all the fantasy numbers here.
01:55There are guys who had gut seeds that we didn't expect here.
01:57You mean Drake London for Atlanta, though that's calmed down of late here.
02:01And Derrick Henry would have to be mentioned here, though he was that second, third round
02:04pick.
02:05I don't know if Joe P. Sapir does a show tomorrow, or he was big on Derrick Henry there.
02:10Kamara's had a nice rebound year.
02:12Same thing with Josh Jacobs.
02:14There's no way that truly stands out here.
02:16So that's going to be an issue when we think about who should be fantasy MVP.
02:20All right.
02:21What about Josh Allen?
02:22All this guy does is like six touchdowns a game.
02:24People are yelling at our screen right now, George.
02:26They're like, these idiots didn't see Josh Allen.
02:28Are you kidding me?
02:3032 touchdowns, five interceptions.
02:32I mean, the thing is, George, he was great.
02:34Now let's take a look at Lamar Jackson.
02:36Take a look.
02:37Let's go.
02:38Next slide, Sam.
02:39I mean, the same guy, OK?
02:41So that's why Josh Allen is not the MVP.
02:44In a one quarterback, he's the MVP of the NFL, Sam.
02:48Stop.
02:49What I'm saying is in fantasy football, you can draft players like Lamar Jackson
02:55who is going to end up giving you, I'm looking at the stats here,
02:59if Sam did them right, Lamar Jackson was better than Josh Allen this year.
03:03OK?
03:04Number one.
03:05Number two, these two guys, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson,
03:08are a cut above the rest.
03:10But the next cut was like 75% of those guys.
03:14The cut below Saquon Barkley is like 80% down from that.
03:19And so to me, that's how, in fact, now in a two quarterback league,
03:23boy, to have Josh Allen, you probably won your league.
03:26I get that.
03:27I understand.
03:28But in a one quarterback league, you know,
03:30there were a lot of other really good quarterbacks.
03:32I mean, Jameis Winston had a game where he threw like 500 yards, too.
03:34Takes nothing away from them.
03:36I just don't think that they're league winners.
03:38I think that they helped you win.
03:40I think you had to do good in other places, too.
03:43If you're talking about quarterbacks,
03:45I'll give you the league winner, the fantasy MVP for quarterbacks.
03:48And it's not Lamar Jackson.
03:50It's not Josh Allen.
03:51It's not Jalen Hurts.
03:52They were all great, by the way.
03:54All great.
03:55All right.
03:56But if you're talking about quarterbacks,
03:58depending on when you were able to start starting,
04:00when you were able to pick them up, it's Baker Mayfield.
04:02Mayfield's not that far behind these guys.
04:05His numbers are out of this world nuts.
04:08We didn't see this coming, even though he had great wide receivers.
04:11We probably thought, okay, that's the end of Baker.
04:13Not so.
04:14Not so.
04:15I'm looking at my home league here.
04:17Baker Mayfield's fourth at quarterbacks.
04:19He's got more points than Hurts.
04:21Barely, but he has more points than Hurts.
04:23All right.
04:24He's just behind Allen and Burrow and Lamar Jackson.
04:26He's not going to catch any of these guys, I don't think,
04:28but he's been that good.
04:29And remember, he wasn't drafted.
04:31You know, or probably wasn't drafted.
04:33You know, so I think Baker Mayfield.
04:35I was going to go quarterbacks.
04:37He might be that fantasy MVP.
04:39Trust him early enough that you got for free
04:42and he's led you to where you are now.
