Local politicians in New Jersey are irate with the federal government's response to their recent drone problem, with multiple lawmakers telling us they want the feds to act, and they're worried their constituents will take matters into their own hands -- which could be disastrous.

00:00Have I learned anything new since the lack of briefing that we received the other day?
00:07Yeah, I've learned that the federal government still hasn't woken up several days later.
00:12The investigating agency, the FBI, has provided us with no additional details, and yet we
00:18continuously see more and more drones over top of Middletown and throughout the state
00:25of New Jersey.
00:26So my frustration level is getting higher and higher as every day goes by.
00:32In fact, I was doing an interview yesterday and received dozens of text messages about
00:38drones flying over top of Naval Weapons Station Earl again last night, as well as throughout
00:46Middletown's Bayshore area.
00:49So my frustration level is seriously at an all-time high.
00:53I cannot believe the lack of answers, the lack of even press conferences that politicians
01:02love to have and briefings that politicians love to have.
01:06And still today, so many days later, and since November 18th when the first drone was seen,
01:13we still do not have any more answers.
01:18And in fact, there's just more questions than there are answers.
01:21Well, every time I put up an update on my Facebook channels or my social media channels,
01:29the frustration amongst our residents is even worse.
01:34They are at a point where you see more and more comments about shooting them down.
01:39Why aren't we just shooting these drones down?
01:42In the first day or so when those drones were being spotted, you didn't have such a high
01:47percentage of residents making comments like that.
01:51Now so many days later, and the lack of response that the federal government has had, you're
01:57starting to see that proportionality shift more towards somebody, just anyone, taking
02:05action so desperate for answers.
02:09But the frustration amongst our residents just continues to get as high as my frustration.
02:14I'm at the point where I can't believe that it's local individuals, the sheer size and
02:21ability and technology that we know controlling these drones.
02:26I mean, these drones have six to eight hour battery lifespans.
02:32They're being estimated to be the size of an SUV.
02:36And the fact that no one has seen any of them take off and or land says to me that this
02:44is a far more sophisticated enterprise than a local individual.
02:51But you know, which it leads me to believe that this is some type of foreign actor, some
02:56type of foreign adversary.
02:57So you know, until we know that definitively, we should stop calling this a, you know, just
03:07an incident.
03:09This is a threat until you tell me it's not a threat.
03:12That's how we should be treating it.
03:13That's how the federal government should be treating it.
03:15That's how all elected officials should be treating it.
03:18Until I know the origin of where this is coming from, you're a threat to the safety and security
03:22of my residents, period.
