00:21Mary Jane was hit by a thick ashfall when she returned to her house in Barangay Sag-Ang in the town of La Castellana, Negros Occidental.

00:31They were just at the foot of Volcano Canlaon, and were severely affected by the eruption this Monday.

00:38Her mother and son continued to stay at her brother's house in Bacolod.

00:44But because they couldn't leave their chickens, Mary Jane and her eldest son stayed at their house.

00:52I saw my mother crying.

00:54There were a lot of snakes here.
