Tensions at the United Nations have escalated as Israel and Russia clashed over the ongoing Gaza conflict, with Iran strongly condemning the U.S. for rejecting a proposed ceasefire. The UN General Assembly has called for an immediate ceasefire to address the worsening humanitarian crisis, but the U.S. vetoed the measure, citing security concerns and ongoing threats from Hamas. Iran has accused the U.S. of enabling violence by siding with Israel. Meanwhile, Israel criticized the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), alleging that dozens of its 13,000 workers in Gaza participated in Hamas attacks, further complicating relations with the UN. These developments highlight deep divisions among global powers, leaving the path to resolving the Gaza conflict uncertain.

00:00Thank you, Mr. President.
00:19The resolutions before the Assembly today are beyond logic.
00:24They defy all concepts of morality and the evidence we have laid before you for years.
00:31By voting for these resolutions, you are not voting to protect humanitarian values but
00:37to protect an organization that has become a haven for terror.
00:43You vote for the resolutions knowing the truth, knowing that UNRWA is not a neutral actor
00:50but an entity hopelessly infiltrated by Hamas, knowing that its facilities have been used
00:58to store weapons, its schools to indoctrinate children with hatred, and its staff to aid
01:06and act as terrorists.
01:10The vote today is not a vote for compassion.
01:14It is a vote for complicity.
01:18And if this betrayal is not enough, you pushed for a resolution that failed to even condition
01:26a ceasefire on the release of the 100 hostages still held by Hamas.
01:34By demanding a ceasefire today, without addressing the hostages, this Assembly will once again
01:42side with those who weaponize human suffering.
01:46It will send a message that the lives of innocent Israelis, including children, are
01:52not worth your consideration.
01:55This is not diplomacy.
01:58It is appeasement.
02:01It is enabling terror and abandoning the innocent.
02:06Today I sit here with evidence in hand.
02:13I have written letters upon letters that Israel has written to UNRWA over the years.
02:20Each one a warning.
02:22Each one a clear call to action.
02:25And yet, nothing was done.
02:31Commissioner General Azzarini complains of reputational damage of so-called disinformation
02:38campaign against UNRWA by Israel.
02:41I would like to ask Mr. Azzarini, where were your complaints when Hamas built tunnels under
02:48your schools?
02:50Where was your outrage when murderers you employed used those schools as terror bases?
02:56Where was your accountability when we sent you these letters exposing terrorists on your
03:04payroll?
03:10In my hand is a letter written in November 2003, 21 years ago, in which we warned about
03:19terrorists hiding, meeting, and even training in UNRWA facilities.
03:28UNRWA did not act.
03:33In 2011, 13 years ago, we warned UNRWA about Hamas operatives working in UNRWA schools.
03:42We even provided the names and IDs of 10 Hamas terrorists employed by UNRWA.
03:49Nothing was done.
03:51In fact, the last name on this list, Najis Salam Abu Aziz, was an UNRWA principal, believe
03:59it or not.
04:00Of course, no action was taken against him.
04:04In the meantime, this year, he allowed his school to be used as a launch pod for anti-tank
04:11missiles by his fellow Hamas terrorists.
04:18In 2017, a Hamas tunnel was discovered beneath an UNRWA school led by a principal who publicly
04:26pledged allegiance to Hamas.
04:30You again remained silent.
04:36Just this July, we provided the names of over 100 UNRWA employees who were members of Hamas
04:44or Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
04:46Again, nothing was done.
04:51These are only a few examples out of many over the decades.
04:57UNRWA's inaction speaks volumes.
05:00They did not act when we presented evidence.
05:05They did not act when Hamas turned schools into ammunition stores.
05:10They did not act when the lives of innocent Israelis were at stake.
05:18Now, the New York Times has recently confirmed what we have long known, and I urge you all
05:26to read this article in the New York Times.
05:31Hamas has infiltrated UNRWA at every level.
05:35It is simply a documented fact.
05:38To Hamas, UNRWA schools are, and I quote from Hamas' own documents, they call it the best
05:47obstacles to shield their terror operations.
05:52Gazan residents themselves have admitted to the New York Times that it is a, quote, open
05:59secret that Hamas operatives work in UNRWA schools, some even carrying Kalachnikovs after
06:08class instead of textbooks.
06:14Yet, this assembly rewards such complicity with continued funding and unwavering support.
06:23And now, it seeks to demand a ceasefire without conditioning the release of the hostages still
06:30suffering in Hamas' dungeons.
06:35You will have abandoned them.
06:37You will have ignored their families.
06:39You will have emboldened their captures.
06:43To stand by UNRWA today is to stand by Hamas, the same Hamas that orchestrated the October
06:517 massacre, that butchered over 1,200 innocent people, and that still holds 100 hostages.
07:02To demand a ceasefire while ignoring these hostages is to surrender to terror.
07:11Distinguished colleagues, a future for Gaza must be one without Hamas, but it must also
07:20be one without UNRWA, without its complicity.
07:26Aid could flow freely, schools could teach peace instead of hatred, and the people of
07:32Gaza could finally begin to rebuild.
07:37This assembly has a choice today, to confront terror and its enablers, or to appease them.
07:45If you choose to stand by UNRWA and abandon the hostages, you will have chosen appeasement.
07:52History will not forget this choice, and neither will we.
08:00Thank you, Mr. President.
