00:00Here is here is D'Amico Ryan's earlier today talking about the matchup that he
00:08has with the Dolphins and look hey for everything that that offense does it's
00:13good to have maybe an extra week to try to figure this thing out against the
00:16Dolphins who put up 30-plus yesterday against a good Jets defense. Here's
00:20D'Amico talking about that that Dolphins offense. They have so many different
00:25snap points so many different motions that it's hard to just be there you
00:29can't hone in on just one thing if you think you have them down they change it
00:33up even in the run game I just think it's a very multiple run game with a lot
00:37of movement that you know you have to be on it with your eyes and this is be a
00:41elite test for our eye discipline right if our eyes are right then we could be
00:46in a good spot to try to put ourselves in position to make a play but if your
00:49your eyes are off at all they have the chance to really hit you with an
00:53explosive play. All right as he said playing with his eyes and and I know I
00:59know many of you know what he's talking about Clint I know exactly that you know
01:03exactly what he is talking about but to me along with that the matchup to me and
01:09this is it and it is the Dolphins receivers and I don't mean just the wide
01:13receivers I mean any of the pass catchers versus the Texans coverage
01:18this is this to me will be the greatest test that they have had to deal with all
01:25season and let's see what they got the Chiefs the Ravens after this with the
01:33Titans yeah I think this is the toughest test in terms of coverage that the
01:39Texans will have to face all year and it's the speed it's the eye candy to
01:45make you look one way but trying to make it but really trying to go another
01:48way and everything that they do offensively with their receivers and
01:53this this is going to be the test and I would say Clint the closest thing they
01:58saw was the game against the Packers in terms of the pass catchers that they can
02:04bring to the table but I still think this is this is a group that is going to
02:09greatly test that secondary and pass coverage for the Texans. Oh I think it's
02:13gonna be the biggest challenge of the year probably probably and I probably to
02:17it I think it'll be I think it's the biggest challenge on the schedule when
02:19you talk about the the the focal point like the identity of what the Miami
02:28Dolphins do it which is all the eye candy with the different motion they have
02:33several different weapons on the field not necessarily wide receivers and
02:37running backs these guys are legit weapons and can attack you from anywhere
02:40sideline to sideline they can run it they can catch it doesn't matter that's
02:44their identity and their quarterback is a an absolute perfect fit for what they
02:54do when you talk about the ability to anticipate the ability to throw the ball
03:00that's extremely catchable you can literally run through it you don't I
03:03mean it's never gonna jump on top of you before you know it it's not gonna
03:07surprise you it's in the perfect spot and it's it's one of them balls it's
03:11like catching a roll of toilet tissue instead of a brick I mean it's just it's
03:14it's you a toilet tissue or what another building a brick I was a toilet tissue
03:18but I did there was a guy on that there's a there's a quarterback at
03:21Arkansas with that with me that I refused to warm up with because he
03:24threw bricks it was awful it was the worst warm-up ever zero touch but just
03:29when you talk about the ability to anticipate when you talk about the
03:32ability to accurately throw that quick game in that screen game get the ball
03:35out on time the arm the arm being able to drop into all the different arm slots
03:40and and I mean it is it is literally what they do is built to to play to the
03:49strengths of of Tua and Tua's strengths are I mean it's it's a beautiful marriage
03:57right yeah we throw the football down the field he doesn't have the big arm
03:59like a lot of these guys have he has plenty of the ability to throw it down
04:02the field but but they really lean into what it is that he does really well and
04:07his strengths and and boy is he ever good at it I mean he is he is a magician
04:12with the ball within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage and it is it's it's
04:18impressive to watch it's fun to watch it's it's a we always talk about right
04:21like I got I watching those teams two teams play last night Kansas City and
04:25and LA the Chargers when you look at the quick game the screen game that even
04:30when they're throwing a five-step or or or let's say a 10 to 12 yard route it's
04:33a timing route where the ball's out it's just there's so much of that in the game
04:37for these good football teams that boy when you see a team that that's their
04:43identity and it's it's really what makes them go and you got a guy like Tua it is
04:48it is really fun to watch that that's the part to me that is scary because it's
04:54concerning I don't say scary it's concerning because usually what can help
05:01the Texans and their in their past defense right like we've talked about it
05:06it has been documented that we've talked about we've seen it that it'd be like I
05:10I've said well they they have an uncanny ability to a to force a quarterback to
05:16to not hit open receivers that are wide open down the field but a lot of it has
05:22to do with the pressure that they're able to get and the thing that is that
05:27it that makes Miami unique as you said the quick game is their identity this is
05:32different than what the Texans will face next week with the Chiefs in the week
05:38after that with with with the Ravens and obviously with Will Levis like you know
05:43those guys they'll give you a chance to get him down on the ground mm-hmm like
05:48those teams will give you a chance with Will Anderson and and and they'll decide
05:54they won't they you want to force them into they'll decide yeah by the way they
05:57play like the Neil Hunter and like the strength Autry and Burnett the strength
06:01of this team can play a major part to help the secondary the Dolphins live in
06:08quick game like that's what everything I do is the timing is it's it's it's like
06:14and then sometimes they'll catch you with the quick game quick game and then
06:18BAM they'll try to leak well downfield but what they do is they the way they
06:24just play they take pass rushers out of the game at times because of how quick
06:30that is going so it's going to be a lot on those guys in the back end because
06:36they're they they try to take away the ability for guys like Will Anderson and
06:41DeNeal Hunter to affect the game like they normally would like I think they I
06:45think DeNeal Hunter and Will Anderson the next weeks after that have a chance
06:49to really affect the game against the Chiefs and Ravens this one they're
06:57going so quick the ball gets out of to his hands by design so quick yeah and in
07:02in in in those drop backs that it's going to be a lot on the secondary to
07:06have to defend well it's interesting because I think if you if you look at
07:10the games where the Texans defense or even the moments when the Texans defense
07:16has done their best work it's it's been like bringing the pressure take away the
07:22quick game and you're willing to you're taking a risk of them throwing the
07:26football over the top now the majority of quarterbacks the Texans have played
07:29have missed those over-the-top throws and so it hasn't hurt them as much now
07:32it did obviously a couple of times against the Titans and it has a couple
07:35of times throughout the year that so it's my point in saying all that is like
07:39the strength of the strength schematically of the Texans is to
07:46squeeze those those quick throws and not give the easy quick throws force the
07:50quarterback to hold it so that pass rush can get home it's gonna be strength on
07:55strength right it's it's I mean it do the do or is the window dressing and
08:02motions and picks and all this kind of stuff is that enough for the Dolphins
08:07into it to stay out of trouble and keep him from getting hit or do they
08:11eventually get into the mode where they have to okay that now they're squeezing
08:14us so tight we got to throw the football over the top and at that point in time
08:18can they hold it long enough and can to it get the ball there it really is what
08:22the what the Texans do well schematically what they are Bob in
08:26theory what they do is squeezing those quick throws is exactly what Miami wants
08:30to do so you wonder strength on strength how good of a matchup is that I mean I
08:35mean good as an entertainment value for us that's that's gonna be it's gonna be
08:40a fun watch yeah I think they got it I think they got to be really and they're
08:45equipped to do this I think which is a good thing for this I think to me they
08:50got to be really physical Texans yes yeah I think like it to me like Kamari
08:58can't play on his heels to me I think he's got to come up and just lay I mean
09:03get hands on them within the first five yards if he's getting matched up a lot
09:08on everything because to me making him play on his heels I mean that that's
09:12that's going to that's that's a concern because he's gonna have to play like to
09:17me that's what I think is you got to play how they're gonna they're gonna get
09:20the ball out quick we'll get physical and knock them off their routes and mess
09:24up the timing to me that's got to be the route it and Kamari Lassner shown to be
09:28able to do that and and this this has to be one of those games where Derek
09:33Stingley is special Derek Stingley right and and Tiger but now you're a Texan man
09:39I don't know that I'm sending Derek Stingley to just travel with Tyreek Hill
09:48I don't I don't know that that's it I don't know that's an idea of what I want
09:51to do I'd probably just bracket him but but Derek Stingley whoever he is on
09:57they're gonna they're gonna need him to be the Derek Stingley like the one that
10:00played against the Cowboys and CD lamb they're gonna have to have him be that
10:04guy to come up to come up and have one of his one of his special games that we
10:10know you know I think I think this is this is a good question I think it's I
10:14think this is more of a of a stay stay in form if you will stay where you're
10:23at left corner right corner yeah safeties be where this is more of a real
10:27true be where you're supposed to be even if flow is taking you away even if
10:33motion is taking you away be where you're supposed to be no doubt about it
10:37because the ball is gonna end up coming back your direction so I think you just
10:40stay in in in scheme and leave guys be and and and play football I think that's
10:46the big key here you start trying to chase Tyreek and waddling them and and
10:49John who Smith around and a chan around yeah good luck with that yeah that's
10:54what this yeah I think I think to me it would scream potentially the other way
10:59with all that speed but I think you have to be aggressive with that speed like I
11:05it and to know like they're gonna make some plays I mean they're going to like
11:14you're not going to to hold their receivers down
11:20they're going indoors they're gonna be in a good track like Tyreek Hill is
11:24going to make some plays it's just Tyreek Hill can't go 12 for 170 and and
11:31and and then waddle go off to John who Smith I think is included into this he
11:37is a tight end that has good speed that could be a matchup issue as well and how
11:42they handle that just know they're gonna make some plays but do what the
11:45Texans have done mostly throughout the year clinic and that is they give up
11:49some plays and give up some yards but they just you know they don't just
11:53completely break all the way through someone text in and said don't forget we
11:57played the Lions yeah I know you played the Lions I and they they've got a good
12:02offense the Lions to me is more of the total package with the running backs or
12:06whatever I still don't think the pass catchers and I'm not saying they don't
12:08have some good ones with the tight end Laporta as well but what these guys
12:12bring to the table it's just it's just a game-changing speed nature that could
12:19just absolutely had changed things in a blink absolutely I don't know is there
12:23anybody out there the collection of speed that these guys have no especially
12:27when you talk about the running picks it's a change there's another there's
12:29another guy back there that's got big speed they drafted that they use a lot
12:33of most sir no he's no they didn't this dude has forced Rahim to the bench right
12:38there's another there's another guy that's that's high speed they have
12:42coming out of the backfield so I mean this is gonna be a unique thing and
12:46that's why to me I'd say you got to be aggressive yeah gotta be aggressive with
12:51them jokers I mean trying to I mean trying to I mean physically put them in
12:56the ground on right off the snap right off the ball so it'll be a fun one to
13:01watch because that to me is going to be the big match all right
