00:00Basically, we are on a retirement livery looking after older horses for other people and we
00:09were a little bit short of some winter accommodation and the grant has helped us put a new shed
00:16up to house them in the winter.
00:19The horses and ponies that are already living here and the new horses and ponies that will
00:25come and live with us come from all across Northumberland, County Durham, some as far
00:30as Kent and all of those owners come and visit, some very regularly, they stay in the local
00:37pub, they spend money in the local cafe.
00:41We also are able to provide a lot of work for local feed merchants, the hay and straw
00:47dealers so this business is bringing in a lot of money to the local area and employing
00:52local people.
00:53The grant has enabled us to put up the new building, we couldn't have done it without
00:58the grant, it's an enormous help and also the help from Ben and his team at the National
01:03Park behind it, we've also been able to access some marketing assistance and I've been on
01:10a social media course and the National Park is really helpful, there's always someone
01:17at the end of the phone if you ring and you've got a question about the paperwork.
01:21Putting together the budgets and things for the grant was really hard, despite being very
01:27computer literate I still needed some help which the National Park were able to assist
01:31with as well.
