00:00Hi, my name is Julie and this is my husband Mark. We do the Christmas Charity Lights.
00:07We've been doing it now for four years. Mark had a double lung transplant last October
00:12so luckily now we've been able to do the O-Log and doing front, back and in the summer house.
00:18This year we're hoping to raise lots of money because we've also joined forces with a team
00:22in Claycross and we're trying to raise £20,000 for the cuddle bed for Ashgate Hospice. So
00:29we're going to give half of the donations to those as well so that really means a lot
00:33to us. So that's the main reason we're doing it.
00:37Yeah, it is, yeah. So we'd like to thank everybody who's been and make everybody welcome who's
00:44going to come, aren't we?
00:46Yeah. We've been doing it, same as I say, we've been doing it for four years now and
00:51we've raised probably about £8,000 or £9,000 roughly I think it is and we've probably bought
00:59another £1,500 worth this year to add to our collection because we don't like it to
01:04ever be the same.
01:05Have you?
01:06Yes, I have.
01:07Yes, you have.
01:08He doesn't mind really.
01:09He does.
01:10But yeah, we just love to see smiles on people's faces especially when they've got Walk Right
01:14Corner.
01:15Especially Jodie.
01:16Yeah, and it just brings so much joy. Of course we've bought a snow machine and when Santa's
01:22not able to get here we'll put the snow machine on so we've had kids actually laying on the
01:27ground making snow angels and they're just having so much fun. So that's mainly the reason
01:32why we're doing it, isn't it?
01:33Yeah.
